I took my car to Eddy at Jensen Tire and Automotive owned by Eddy Jensen for an $19.95 oil change. I want to Eddy because he had replaced my alternator and battery 6 months before. He did the oil change and when I went to pick up my car the bill was $27. But that's not the problem, he then said I needed breaks and rotors, and that my car was leaking oil and it would blow my engine if I didn't get it fixed. He estimated that the cost would be about $2,500 to $3,000 depending on what he found once he started the job.
Something didn't feel right as I have been driving this car for 2 years with out an problems except that alternator and battery that he replaced. I took it to another mechanic and told him what Eddy Jensen told me. He looked at the car and told me these things.

1. Jensen Tire and Automotive and Eddy Jensen and known crooks
2. That there was no leak and it was obvious that someone had squirted oil to make it look like it was leaking and he even let me see the spot that Eddy pointed out to me was NOT leaking. He had me watch it for 5 minutes on the lift while the engine was running. Not a drop of oil was coming from anywhere.
3. As for the breaks, my "new" mechanic said that my breaks were nearly new and had the usual rust discoloration which happens after a few days of driving. I did not need the breaks, rotors or anything and would like go another 20,000 to 30,000 miles before I did.

Jensen Tire and Automotive and Eddy Jensen would have screwed me on this job. They obviously had screwed me once before because I had a starting problem and the replaced my battery and alternator. The mechanic said that this was the original altinator that came with the car and he never actually replaced it.  He said it looked like it had been "Cleaned" to look like a new.

Jensen Tire and Automotive & Eddy Jensen are ripoff artists. KEEP AWAY FROM THEM. I talked to a few of my friends who have used him and they didn't know that they had been ripped off but told similar stories of going for simple repairs or maintenance and he "found" numerous problems costing thousands.

One did say that they went back to the shop just after closing and they were closed but he heard voices and when she looked in, she saw him and some others smoking pot and snorting cocaine. She left immediately and never went back.
