My husband invested his whole private pension into one of Jeremy Harbour's distressed asset purchase companies, DASPV. The CEO was Robert Wildmore. They hired a boiler room to persuade us to do this promising that we would exit in just two months. We thought Jeremy Harbour was a real entrepreneur not a fraudster. However here we are three years later and have heard nothing from either of these guys for a long time. Neither do they answer our emails or phone calls.

Many months ago we received what now appears to be a final email from Robert Wildmore telling us that we were now all invested in an on line entrepreneurial community company called E-Factor Corps, apparently opperating from San Fransisco and who are now trading shares on the New York stock exchange. However we have received no share certificates or any furhter communication from any of these people at all.

We would like to hear from anyone else out there who was also involved and invested in this (apparent) scam.

DASPV do seem to have behaved in an unacceptable manner towards investors

AUTHOR: Distressed - (UK)

POSTED: Monday, October 16, 2017

OK, so we invested in DASVP but have heard nothing for several years. We have had no money back. We have received no updates or answers to our emails from either Robert Wildmoor or his consultant, Jeremy Harbour. Jeremy promised to update us last time he was in touch (I think about 3 years ago) but we have certainly not heard anything. Meanwhile our SIPP is demanding money for literally giving us no service and is telling us that Robert Wildmoore has informed them that the investment is fine. Hardly! The shares in EFactor have crashed and have not traded on a public platform as promised.

Does anyone out there know what has happened to our investment or has everyone just walked away? We are not in a position to do that I'm afraid.

This is very much a misunderstanding

Judging by his reputation and previous history, it seems ludicrous that anyone should have believed Jeremy Harbour to be a scammer.

Jeremy was apparently originally involved with DASPV in an advisory capacity and only later came on board officially to offer a workable solution to the problems besetting the fund during the economic downtrend and banking crisis.

It's easy enough to get paranoid. Certain brokers in EAPP, the aforementioned "boiler room" hired by DASPV to raise funds initially, did assert some things that turned out not to be true, whether culpably or deliberately I cannot judge, while they certainly pressured investors to get involved in dubious investments in carbon credits.

However, I don't believe now Jeremy Harbour was responsible in any way for that situation as DASPV was Robert's company and according to a subsequent conversation I had with Robert Wildmoor, EAPP were sacked for this behaviour. EAPP, to be fair, did espouse some genuinly good companies like Albany Portfolio Management and certainly DASPV was/is legitimate. Albany also I understand later distanced themselves from EAPP.

Trusting hard earned money to most companies on line who advertise alternative investments is taking a serious risk, you have to really look at the people behind the opperation which is not always transparent.

However, in the case of DASPV it was up front and the reputations of the management unbesmirched.

No investment is risk proof but I sincerely trust Robert and Jeremy's proven skills in the arena of turning companies around and making money for their investors will pay out handsomly in this as in previous cases.

I am very happy and most relieved to have finally been able to communicate with Robert and Jeremy. For some reason I had not received the communications that had been sent. I was able to personally verify that my investment with these guys is safe and is actually doing very well in E-factor which has now Ipoed and presently their shares seem to be doing very well. Finding out that so many investments advertised on the internet are scams (indeed about 90% of them!) I did start to fear the worst. However I did do thorough due dilligence on Jeremy Harbour and Robert Wildmoor and they did tick the boxes at the time. It seems that my faith in them was not unfounded. They have coped with some very adverse conditions during the economic downturn and seem to have come up trumps so far. They also check out ethically so my previous misgivings were unfounded. I guess it goes without saying that I'm extrememly relieved!

Fortunately the communication issues have now been sorted!
