Jerome's Furniture Guardsman, Stain Safe, Protection Plan RIP OFF, DENIED CLAIM. Rips Covered, not stitching coming undone! San Marcos California

5 yr plan bought in 05, sales rep (Roslyn) told us it covered ANYTHING & EVERYTHING for the next 5 years. Feb 2, found stitching had come out in cushion where you rest your back...called to place a claim with Guardsman and it was denied. Stitiching isn't covered....RIPS ARE!

Went to Jerome's in San Marcos, spoke to sales rep. GARY and I quizzed him on the prot. plan 'acting' like an interested customer. When specifically asked if stitching was covered under the prot. plan, he asked 'THOMAS' who said it was and that's when I looked at GARY and said "Ooooook, then. THERE'S A PROBLEM GARY!". Explained to him what was going on and he immediately ran with his tail between his legs and referred me to Customer Service. Walked over there, and met up with Roslyn...she told me stitching wasn't covered, only within the first year as a manf. defect. Ok, great.....now where getting NOWHERE! Told her Gary told me different and that this was BS...I paid for a warranty that I can't use??? She wasn't willing to help me, wasn't willing to accomodate me in any fashion and basically said I was out of luck. So....another year on the warranty that I can't use again. Oh...it does cover 'accidental tears and rips'....

DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM JEROME'S IF YOU HAVE ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS! And if you do, don't go for the warranty...it's wasting money because there are all these little clauses that you'll find out very little is covered anyways.
