On November 17, 2014 I came across an Ebay listing/selling for a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria with Taxi package from Jersey Motors South.  The car was offered at no reserve and this is not my first time purchasing cars from Ebay, so I decided to wait the auction out and see how it was looking on the last day.  The auction ended November 19, 2014 at 12:26 P.M.  The car was at $2500 starting bid so I placed it and was the winner at that bid price.  Not even a half hour later I was contacted by Jersey Motors and notified that my auction was being canceled because they did not have a title for the vehicle.  In the listing it clearly stated that the title check was ok.  I then asked why was the car listed if the title was in question and was told that the car was on consignment, and if the dealer could not retrieve the title they would have to forfeit the car back to the owner. As I stated I am a car enthusiast and this is not my first time buying cars off of Ebay so I decided to do some digging and went to the dealer website.  I find this same car for sale for $3k more than what my bid was. I contact Jersey Motors and started getting the runaround as to when they anticipated the title and was told "they don't know". It does not take that long to get a title from the DMV I've had this issue before.  I then found myself having to keep contacting Jersey Motors for updates.  If they prided themselves on honest and trust like they say on their website they would have been better at communicating with me.  I then was told five days later they could not get the title only after I kept inquiring.  I then asked the dealer if they could put me in touch with the owner of the crown vic and I could try to handle it myself.  NO reply at all after that.  I find it odd that a sale is canceled AFTER a person wins an auction due to murky title issues, but the car was and IS still listed for sale on other car sites.
