Complaint Review: Jim Batcha
Jim Batcha Full Throttle Automotive and Marine Service - Edgewater, Florida Marine Mechanic Con Artist Daytona Beach Florida
Jim Batcha has conned 8-10 people around the Daytona area to advance money to repair their boat engines, started, and then stopped work.
He approaches boat owners, describes all the work he can do, with very convincing technical detail, claiming 30 years of experience. He collects money to buy parts, then offers excuses like 'I hurt my back' and won't answer his phone!
I personally lost $2,800, and have spoken with other customers who lost thousands more. Do not let this guy on your boat!
His former employer suspects he has a drug habit, and fired him for taking tools. He has no fixed address, and moves from one apartment to another, sometimes after eviction. A neighbour said he may be moving to NC with his girlfriend.
The police regard it as a civil fraud matter (not criminal) because I willingly gave him money for parts. [continued below]....
