Today I phoned Jim Click Hyundai on 22nd St to make my 6 month free oil change and tire rotation appointment.  I have been receiving this maintenance for life free for 5.5 years.  Today I was told that because I had not put 5000 miles on the car since the last oil change it would no longer be free.  He said that Jim Click instructed his employees to start clamping down on this and insist that 5000 miles are needed between changes.  I am a city driver and have yet to put 5000 miles on my vehicle in 6 months.  I was told when I purchased the vehicle in 2011 that I would have free oil changes for the life of the car and this was one incentive for purchasing it.  For the past years I have been very satisfied with this benefit so I was taken completely off guard with this change today.  This is just not right to change a policy that I have taken for granted.
