Jim Govea advertises on Craigs List for Landscapes Services and installing Concrete Driveways. He was not able to finish either in my case. He demands money up front and then takes forever to perform the work. None of he work was ever completed. He claims that he has been doing this kind of work for 20 years and that his work is far better than anyone outthere but I have found that his work is far below most want-to-be contractors.

I have had 2 driveways installed on flip properties and they took 3 days each. Jim never told me how long it would take.only that his driveways were without flaws. In fact, I waited 4 weeks for him to finish my driveway and finally he told me to get someone else after he had collect of the cost to do the driveway. He told me he had been doing this kind of work for over 20 years. Bull****. On the day the concrete was being poured by another contractor, I discovered that it was sloped towards my neighbors yard instead of totally sloped towards the street.

In additon, he cut in away from my neighbors property and put the forms down so that I lost about 1 ft of driveway width. Stupid me, I should have fired him then. He does not answer his cell phone and he takes forever to return calls or never returns calls. He makes so many promises but he is incapable of delivering the most simple of jobs in a timely and professional manner.

I would not hire him for any job nor would I recommend him for any job. He just can not perform.
