If you are looking for help writing an impressive resume keep looking because Friendly Jim is not worthy of your business. The price he states on his website changes after you pay the stated price and set up your appointment.

I paid the fee, set up my appointment and emailed him my current resume that I wanted his helping retooling. The night before my appointment he sent me an email stating that with all my experience that there was no way he could fit it all on one page. I do not list my schooling or references on my resume as most recruiters do not bother with these things. I have only 3 jobs over the 10 years I have been working. The skills for these jobs are not complex and even with his help 'spicing' them up, there is no way it would take 2 pages.

I write an ask that if he cannot do the job that he promised he could do for the fee I paid then please return my money. He informed me he would not be returning my fee because that would mean canceling the appointment and if I cancelled it that the website states the fee would be forfeited. So he refused to do a one page resume and asked for another 30 dollars or just kiss the money goodbye that I had already had to pay to schedule the appointment. He had me both ways!

Don't make the same mistake I did...find some other company to help you with your resume.

Friendly Jim helped me

AUTHOR: ScottF - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, January 14, 2011

I was very surprised to read the rip-off report on Jim. I contacted Jim in May of 2009 and he was not only helpful but, as his company name says, very friendly. Jim not only did a GREAT job of rewriting my resume (at a fantastic price) but sent the resume to me in multiple formats and added things like a pre-formatted reference sheet, an offer to update the resume if needed, and other extras that the more expensive "big guys" wouldn't do for me even if I paid their exorbitant prices.

I'm very sorry that Kim wasn't pleased with Jim service but I, for one, certainly am!

Kims Fantasy -- Not Telling the Truth

AUTHOR: Jim the Friendly Resume Writer - (Canada)

POSTED: Friday, August 28, 2009

Unfortunately, Kim isn't quite telling the truth here. She ordered a 1 page resume ($49.95) and reserved a 1 hour phone interview with me for the following day. I agreed to write her resume, and thereafter began turning away other customers who wanted that same appointment (I always have a waiting list). Then, to my amazement, at the very last moment, Kim pulled a "quickie" by emailing me her old pathetic resume (no wonder you weren't getting any interviews, Kim!) and "ordered" me to squeeze it onto a single page. First, I don't take "orders" from customers, Kim. After writing resumes for 19 years, with a huge page of unsolicited Testimonials on my website, I think I know a little more about the process of writing great resumes than you do! Second, Kim, your own admission that you were getting zero interviews with your old resume, should wake you up to the reality that you need HELP writing a better resume. Your old resume stinks, and thats why you arent getting any interviews. Anyway, I explained to Kim that she needed 2 pages to give us the required space to expand upon the hidden strengths in her past work history, to make her resume really shine. Also, I cautioned Kim that she SHOULD include any relevant education and training on her new resume . . . . because recruiters and employers most definitely DO "bother with those things" (I have personally spoken with hundreds of recruiters and Personnel Directors over the years). Well, Kim didn't want to hear it. She's unemployed now--yet considers herself an expert in writing resumes that will get her a job? That makes sense to me! Geeesh. Gimmee a break. Anyway, as always in such cases, I definitely did refund the customers money, and asked her to find a different resume service to help her; that I did not want her business. My, my, my. All I can say is that some people go through their WHOLE LIVES pointing fingers at others, desperately attempting to excuse their own problems. Thats called denial (. . . and that aint a river in Egypt!). 'nough said, Kim. God bless you. I wish you the best. Jim www.cheapfastresumes.com
