On 07/11/2012 at about 2:50PM to 3:01PM, in the Central West End city of Saint Louis Missouri, a deli much like Subway called, "Jimmy John's" a primarily sandwich deli had served me.

The entire staff greeted me with a friendly yet robotic hello. Never ordering food from Jimmy John's I was browsing through the menu above the ordering station. The staff asked  me what would I like. I replied along the lines of "i've never ordered food here so let me take a look."

Not in a rush to let me examine the menu, 10 secs later a staff crew member asked me again what am I looking for. I asked if they had chicken, they replied with a no. So I decided to go with the best thing I saw which was something called a Turkey Tom Sandwich that cost $5.20 without tax. It's also 8 inch sub

That's until I requested I wanted avocado on my sandwich. A separate crew member decides to pitch in her opinion and suggest something more expensive called a Beach Club or a number 12, which included  turkey breast, provolone cheese, avocado spread, sliced cucumber, alfalfa sprouts, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. She had insisted that the sandwich contained "more" food than the other sub.

That sandwich sounded like what I wanted so I ordered it. The price was $6.88 and it is still a 8 inch sub.  Jimmy John's has this thing where every sandwich is 8 inches, regardless if it cost a dollar and some change more. So I buy the sub sandwich and a bag of bbq chips and sit outside with my friends. I open the wrapping and see the sandwich, looked ok so I took 2 bites.

I noticed after those bites that I didn't taste any alfalfa, or avocado, which was the reason I decided to get the sandwich.  So I opened the sandwich up and to my amazement I didn't see any avocado nor alfalfa sprouts. I showed my friends and they were shocked as well.  Half the contents inside where lettuce!

I mean if i wanted that much lettuce I would have went and bought a salad. After talking a minute about it to my friends I decided I wasn't going to put up with it and went back inside Jimmy John's to confront this issue. The staff greeted me as they did before and asked me if  I wanted anything. I said yes, there isn't any avocado on this sandwich and this sandwich is primarily lettuce.

The staff member said with a swift pace of voice, yes it is. It's between the cheese. So I opened up between the cheese and to my amazement, hardly any avocado. I said to her, there is hardly anything here? That's when she informed me about how they only put 2 table spoons of avocado on the sandwich.

So I said you mean 2 tablespoons per side, (because it's a sub and it has 2 halves), she said no 2 tablespoons for the whole sandwich. I said you guys need to give me more avocado because this isn't what I asked for, there isn't anything here. She said we can but it will cost extra.

I said, extra? You didn't even put hardly anything there! At this point I'm frustrated because I wanted more avocado which I clearly deserved more and plus the sandwich was not more food but just a ton of lettuce, no sprouts and 2 table spoons of avocado.

Not willing to accommodate my request, they decided to argue with me about it.  They told me there isn't anything we can do about it. Then in a temper tantrum, a staff crew member said, you know what? I'll make you another sandwich.  I didn't want another sandwich but they insisted on making it and neither did it solve the problem.

So I watched her make it, and when she got to the avocado part I so a very small smear of avocado from 1 scoop from their scooper. Enraged I said, hey! thats only 1 scoop! She said, 1 scoop equals 2 tablespoons. SHe wrapped it up and said, do you want the sandwich or not.  I'm shocked she came back with a take it or leave it stand off, as if I didn't come in there specifically for more avocado on my sandwich.

I took the sandwich, and went back outside and told my friends about the whole thing. They agreed that I shouldn't stand for that and get my money back for not fulfilling my request.  I went back inside 3 minutes later, and told them I don't want the sandwich and I would like my money back. The staff member  I was talking to walked immediately to the back of the store with no explanation of her actions and didn't return for 2 minutes.

At that point I was really pissed off because you don't walk away from someone when they are talking to you. I asked another worker there, where did she go, to the restroom? With a s****.>
