Without warning, I started getting bombbarded with an excruciating amount of pop ups. I received 105 pop ups at a time and every two or three of them were Jimmy Surf "pop ups" advertising software to get rid of pop ups.
I would get so exasperated closing them. To me they were more evil than spam because spam mail is effortless to eliminate!
These troublesome pop ups took an enormous amount of time to temporarily terminate especially in that abundance. Hour after hour I suffered with them even when I was not on the internet! When I was on the internet they would come up continually 4 or 5 every few seconds.
If I took a break I would come back to another 100 of them! I was getting so ticked off I felt like thrusting my computer out the window!
After investigating, I discovered this impressive site
"AdAware" by LavaSoft. This free download removed 357 parasite type invaders and now "Thank God" I got my peace of mind back!
This "Jimmy Surf" type of advertising should be prohibited and brought to Justice!

I was also ripped off by Jimmy Surf recently my credit card was charged an additional 39.95 two or three weeks ago I filed a complaint with Bank of America and got every nickel BACK!
They apparently are a well known rip off even by the banks.
As for the pop-ups you might want to see if you have FLASH.EXE or similar type objects in your version of windows you get to it by going to internet explorer and looking under tools then options then view objects. if you have it delete it and the pop-ups will stop. and do not re-load it they always ask ..
