JK Harris & Associates We paid over $8,000 to provide services in dealing with the IRS, but they haven't even conferred with the IRS and caused to have tax levies on bank accounts and wages. ripoff Charleston South Carolina

My husband and I have been dealing with this company for the past two years. They provided us with a counselor and the counselor told us that they were in contact with the IRS concering our back taxes. They kept changing counselors on me and one counselor, Ms. Smelling, told me that we didn't need to go to a hearing, and since they had our power of attorney, they were representing us.

An IRS agent came on my job looking for me, because my company hadn't started taking out the levy. He said that he never talked to anyone from JK Harris and the IRS thought we were trying to ignore them, but we thought we were in the process of getting an offer and compromise.

IRS is taking over $1,000 out of my husband's check every two checks, leaving $129 and $489 out of my check, leaving me $630. This has been since January. We have already satisfied the levy, but the IRS has our account messed up and JK Harris has not helped in solving this issue.

We now have a lien on our house, so all JK Harris has done is get paid, but have not resolved any issue with us. I would like to file a suit to get any amount of our money back.

These people are supposed to be trained ex-IRS agents that help you resolve your tax issues and get you pennies on a dollar. We know we owe taxes, but we went to JK Harris because they led us to believe that they deal with the IRS and would deal with them to set us up on a payment plan that we could afford.

I would like to move to another city, but I can't even sell the house because we have a tax lien on it.
