JL Landscaping & Design, own by John Evangelisti ( real name: Gianni Evangelisti). Scammed us by taking money and not doing the work! Vaughan Ontario

We signed a contract with JL Landscape and Design Sept., 29, 2017 to install pool and to do 1000 sq. ft., interlocking. John Evangelisti (real name is Gianni Evangelisti) took $15000 deposit. He on purpose delayed with drawings to submit for a permit. Start day was scheduled in contract October 10, 2017. But he only delivered his excavator in afternoon and left. In 7 total days he worked only 7 hours in total. He promissed us that will be working everyday from: 7:30 till 5:00pm, never happened. Also claimed will be working with another 4-5 guys- never happened. October 17, 2017, he was excavating in our backyard and found a yellow tape, he asked us if we have gas pipes running here.

We said you should know that, because he emailed us October 5, that he was cleared to dig by Locates. He left our property right away, we called Locales (Ontario 1 call). They had no request nor ticket number provided to JL Landscape for our property. So John Evangelisti was digging against the law- he could of blown the all neighbourhood up. Then we got suspicious and went to check his office address- its a P.O. box in UPS store, there is no office. He registered his incorporation against the law.

We didnt feel comfortable to proceed the work with him, so we fired him the same day October 17, 2017. John E. was digging our property without town permit, which is also against law, but he claimed he always does that without permit. JL landscape doesnt have even WSIB even he brought a worker for one day for couple hours to help him. We shared our story on social media and got big response from other clients. Clients almost paid in full, and being delayed work for long time, for months, not done properly, no permits, damaging neighbours property and not fixing. John Evangelisti finds people, tricks them with big stories and promises of lies, takes big deposits and money in front but job never gets done in time and in very poor workmanship. And never completes what he promises. Please be aware of it.
