An online scam company using the name of JMB Marketing has been known to do many unethical things in guise of selling their product, SideTick TV. The company has come under fire from many former employees and government agencies. In fact they are stealing the identity of the real JMB Marketing, a registered marketing company existing for more than 14 years, in the Boston area. The fake JMB Marketing claims to be from the Atlanta area. The Project Manager is Kelly Cruz. An individual named Gabe Dobson is known to be the right hand man of Cruz.

And he’s the Call Center Manager. A lady named Olivia carried out training programs for the company. The company claims to distribute a service called Sidekick TV, an online streaming service like Netflix. They’re nothing in comparison because all of their content is outdated, to say the least. They use SideTick TV as bait. All they’re really interested in is up-selling other useless products and gathering consumers' credit card information. The agents are instructed to provide a cancellation phone number for free trials. But people never get through on the phone or are put on hold forever. Kelly Cruz writes the phone script and claims to have retired from Verizon to help the owners structure the company.

Apart from fooling other people, they dupe their own employees too. They are lied to about the salary package, bonuses, fringe benefits, etc. If they dare ask any question or confront them, they are shown the door immediately. Even Olivia who worked there for a year was terminated for similar reasons. She was falsely attacked in a prior Rip Off Report because the accuser thought she was part of upper management, but the truth is she was simply following orders like a good employee supposed to. The real power lies with the owners, Jeff & Jon Goldstein. Personally I had a great experience with her in training and others will say the same. Due to these shady activities, there’s rumors the company is now being actively investigated by FBI.

The Georgia Department of Labor is also carrying out an investigation, and all current and past employees were sent a notification via mail directly from The Georgia Department of Labor. The company does not even have a proper license to sell Sidekick TV service. The co-owner Jon uses inappropriate language during meetings, and discusses his personal issues using perverse terminologies. Kelly does the same, too! Their female employees in office, are unqualified and dress half naked. You can hear loud Hip Hop music blasting through the speakers before you approach the building. Due to bad money management paychecks of the employees sometimes are held back.

People should do proper research before signing up for online companies. It’s a pity so many scams in guise of attractive businesses have popped up everywhere. Not only can they extort money from people, but can also entangle them in some legal brawls. These online scams severely disappoint people looking for an employment or services via the internet. There needs to be a proper check on such scams, so that people don’t lose their money, neither their trust in trustworthy companies.

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

This Is A Made Up Person

AUTHOR: Olivia M - ()

POSTED: Friday, April 11, 2014

I left JMB over a month ago. How did I get terminated today, on the 11th? Check your facts. You just got caught in a lie.

The complaint was made on the 10th. How did I write it on the 11th after I was so-called terminated? Grow up Kelly! Also how would the so-called ex employee know about my termination, today?

Tina started the telemarketing division in July 2013. I was hired on the 15th. How does this imaginary person remember me from the beginning of the year?

I didn't write this!

Why are you putting my name in this? And to be honest we all received a letter from the labor board. Tell the truth Kelly! Gabe asked me to leave training and downgrade to a phone agent until sales pick up. I refused to take a pay cut.

You told me everyone will start earning revenue-share, after the company’s expenses. That sounded like a slick way to say we are about to start getting commission instead of hourly pay. And why are you attacking me? You didn’t even respond to the last complaints about the company.

If I wrote this complaint my signature would be all over it. You may be a bully, but you don't scare me! Here’s the labor board’s information below. Anyone can contact them if further confirmation is needed. Leave me out of this before I sue you and JMB!

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

My experiences with JMB

AUTHOR: Mike Smith - ()

POSTED: Friday, April 11, 2014

I am an Ex-Employee of JMB for over a year and just recently will take leave of absence to handle some personal matters. I was an employee there in the beginning of 2013 and remember when Olivia Mitchell located in Atlanta, the trainer as mentioned above started, until today 4/11/14.

There have been some good and bad times, just as with any other company, during my employment. However, I have always seen progress being made which made me comfortable to stay. What I have noticed is that workers come and go and some leave happy or leave angry. I have gotten to know a lot of people in the company and probably have the most seniority out of everyone.

I have witnessed those mentioned above first hand and can give my perspective on each. I feel that the leadership team does their best and has given me the opportunity to provide for my family, just as every other worker. It's easy to get caught up in your emotions when laid off or terminated for performing to the level they want. I wasn't always good in this job either, but I was given the coaching and development to become a better rep.

I do remember that there were some major changes in the structure and Olivia Mitchell was one of those removed from the company. Even though I'm not privy to the reasons why, that may be the reason for the hostile tone in the complaint above, it even sounds like she wrote it herself.

In closing, I would like to say that in this type of economy it's important to be thankful for a job opportunity. Also, to make sure you have a great work ethic and work hard to keep it. I am grateful for my time with JMB or any of the company names that Olivia Mitchell used above.

I look forward to returning to my duties as soon as my personal matters have been cared for.
