Joe Cooper Ford RIPOFF misleading you to believe you won a prize at 1 in 70,000 odds to win Yukon Oklahoma

What a deal! I opened this "important notice" to find that I had won a great prize.There were 5 prizes ...$5 in cash or $20 in gas or $500 grocery coupon or $1000 shopping spree or $4500 cash.

Now everybody knows there's a sucker born every minute. But what I found enticing was in the fine print. Immediately following the disclosure that the shopping spree did not include shipping, handling and a $5 processing fee was the statement that the odds of winning were 1 in 70,000.

Well considering our town has a population of 23,000 and only half as many homes (based on 2 per home),I MUST be the only winner of this prize in town. Due to my skeptic nature, I ran copies of my invitation to this "customer loyalty event". At last the day came to collect my prize.

As I pulled up I commented to the man getting out of his car next to me, "Are you here to collect your prize?" low and behold he also had the $1000 shopping spree, as did the couple we walked in with and the 40 or so other people waiting in line. It was only 15 min after the event had started so I would estimate at least 100 others followed. Isn't it a bit strange that we all had the 2nd most valuable prize?

Also the girl at the desk said the offer was good until 120 days after your first order. Not true!!! The 120 days starts the minute you log on to the SELECTYOURGIFTS.com website, which contain a bunch of $10 to $50 items that are marked up to $30 to $150 in value and shipping charges that would have covered the cost of shipping a elephant overnight!

I'm sure some people thought they might save it until Christmas when they need to buy a bunch of small cheap gifts. If you logged on when you got home the offer expires approximately Sept 15 2004. It really gripes me that the dealership knew that people would respond because they intentionally placed the odds of winning so that it looked like they we referring to the shopping spree prize, when of couse those odds were about the $4500 prize.

Shame on you JOE COOPER FORD, I hope you are prepared for a few complaints to Drew Edmondson Oklahoma attorney general. I have a strong suspicion there will be a few more than you expected when you signed on with this wonderful concept of rewarding your loyal customers of Yukon.
