Joe Dileo Bentley Global Relocation, Inc $5000 Seminar Scam targeting Loan Officers & Realtors Rochester New York

Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

I am a Branch Manager and high producing loan officer of a mortgage company, and I was scammed for $4,900 by Joe DiLeo, and his supposed company, Bentley Global Relocation, Inc. (BGI).

I was contacted by Joe DiLeo in June of 2013 selling sponsorships for a realtor training seminar for his company, Bentley Global Relocation, Inc. The seminar was to promote Pre-Set listing appointments for Realtors. DiLeo and I signed a formal agreement and I paid him the $4,900 sponsorship fee, upfront, for the upcoming September 13, 2013 seminar that would take place at a Marriott hotel in my market. The agreement guaranteed that DiLeo/BGI would have at least 75 Realtors in attendence, or there would be a 100% refund of the sponsorship fee.

Joe Dileo pocketed the $4,900 seminar sponsorship money from me and $3,500 sponsorship from a Title Insurance Company that I referred. Once the sponsorship money was received and checks cashed, Joe did not answer his business phone (which has now been disconnected), or his cell phone, or emails.

Before signing the agreement and paying the upfront sponsorship, I Googled Joe DiLeo, and found his internet footprint was remarkably clear for someone who had supposedly had such a successful sale background. It was as though his background had been professional cleaned of of all references. This should have been a big enough red flag to not move forward.

I was able to confirm that there was never a seminar planned. The hotel where the event was scheduled had never received a reservation request. It was all an elaborate scam with new websites and a NV shell corporation. After doing some research, I found that Joe DiLeo had scammed other mortgage companies/title companies in Oakland and San Diego with the same elaborate scheme. We have all compared notes and are in the process of pursuing these fraudulent activities.

Note: Listed in RipOffReport.com, there is a remarkably similar company, in DiLeo's same town, with the exact same service (pre-set listing appointments to realtors), with the exact same complaints as mine; Fitzgerald Coaching.

I made a very dumb mistake. This was a total scam. Do not, under any circumstances, give this guy any money, regardless of the story.

RESPONSE FROM JOE DILEO

AUTHOR: Joe DiLeo - ()

Written by:  Joe DiLeo

I'd like to begin by sincerely thanking Scott for updating his original post and correcting the record. Also, since this website is the #2 search result on Google when a client types in my name I thought it appropriate to write a few lines.

I have had the privilege of speakiing to and coaching some of North America's highest producing real estate and mortgage professionals for the better part of two decades.  In that time I have founded & built a 100 person company and facilitated conferences and workshops in every U.S. state except Alaska; over 25,000 attendees in total.  This training is made possible because of corporate sponsors, and I'm proud to say the most esteemed brands in the U.S. have participated---to include: Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Washington Mutual, Fifth-Third Bank, Merrill Lynch, Ameriprise Financial Advisors, Solomon Smith Barney, Nationwide Insurance, Farmers Insurance.....and many, many more.

2014 is going to be a big year, we have scheduled events in nearly every major U.S. market and will be speaking to more groups each month than we have since before the market crash of 2008.  It is our objective to offer the absolute best in sales training and inspiration, as we've always done.

Sincerely,

Joe DiLeo

Joe DiLeo worked out solid solution

AUTHOR: Scott Hardy - ()

I am writing to amend my complaint reagrding Joe DiLeo and Bentley Global Relocation. Joe DiLeo personally contacted me and laid out several unforseen delays in launching his seminar program that appear to be fully resolved. Mr. DiLeo set up a 100% reimbusement plan and agreed to comp a replacement seminar in my market at no cost.

This is a completely productive and acceptable solution. Although i was upset at the delay, I should not have used some of the harsh language in my original complaint. I appreciate Mr. Dileo backing up his guarantee. Many thanks.
