I want you guys to listen to me carefully.  What has baffled me for the 58 years that I have been on planet earth is that criminals flock together.  It's like they have never heard the saying that there is no honor among thieves.  I work way too hard for myself, my beautiful wife, my kids and my grand children to simply just be ripped off, and go away.  Fortunately for me, I discovered something a few years back called the internet.  We as consumers no longer have to worry about our voices never being heard, or that the newspaper and media will not print nor present our stories because we can no voice our own opinions now.  I'm glad that I'm not the only one who got ripped off by these people, and what makes the world so small as you will find out, is that these criminals all eventually cross eachothers path.  A few years back, there was a company called GutterGuard.  This company did windows, gutters, and vinyl siding.  We met with a representative by the name of James Mayes, a nice fella, that was a very smooth talker.  He came out showed us there window, and we were really impressed with the quality.  The price was a little on the high side, but not at all overly priced for what we thought the value of the window could possibly be, we saw value in the product and we thought it was backed by a really great company that we could trust.  We didn't like the initial price that was offered to us by Mr. Mayes and so he made a call to his manager, a Mr. Joe Stinger.  They talked for a little bit, and presented us with another offer that would reduce the cost of the windows, if we called the people on the referral list, also keeping a sign in our yard, and keeping the price confidential.  That sounded easy enough for us, so we obliged him.  We ended up signing with James, and after we did that, we talked to Joe as he welcomed us to the GutterGuard family.  He promised us that they would do a great job, and we didn't have to pay unless we were completely happy with the work.  Sounds like a great deal right?  We thought so, so fast forward ahead, the windows were installed, and the work was completed in a timely manner.  The crew that came out did some really good work.  They weren't completely thorough, but they didn't create a huge mess at all, and were very polite.  We were very happy about the windows, until two weeks went by, and we noticed that there was some fogging on the windows, and I don't mean 1 or 2 windows, but rather 12 of the 20 windows we had installed.  We didn't think that it was a big deal, we signed a contract with a well known company, that stands behind their work.  We called in and spoke to the production manager, his name escapes me at the moment, but we were told that they were about 3 weeks behind on service, because of the recent storms in the area.  That wasn't a huge deal to us, because we could understand the situation.  So 3 weeks went by, and we called back in, and were told that someone would be out to look at the windows, so they could get the service ticket started tomorrow.  Great news we thought.  No one showed up the next day, which I had taken the day off of work to meet the guy, so we called back in, and got told that the manager was behind schedule and that they would be out the following Monday to look at the windows.  Fine we thought, as long as they kept us in the loop it wouldn't be a huge deal.  Monday came and went, and no one even bothered to call, so we called in again.  This time we didn't speak to the manager, but just got sent to his voicemail.  I left a voicemail asking that we just get an update as to what was going on.  We called our sales rep James, who never even bothered to call us back ever!!!  No one called back so we waited 2 weeks, and called back in.  This time I asked to speak to the General Manager of the location.  His name was Joe Stinger, so we thought great, this was the guy we should've called all along, he can solve our problems as he's the one in charge.  We had a great conversation, he assured us that the production manager was going to call us back and take care of everything, and not to worry, as he was aware of it now.  A few days pass, and no phone call.  We call back in, trying to get a hold of any manager at this point, and speak to Joe again.  He apologizes, and promised me that someone will call back this afternoon.  Low and behold no phone call again, at this point, we are beside ourselves.  We call back in, and get the receptionist, and ask her to connect us to Joe, it goes to voicemail.  At this point, we are feeling like we got ripped off.  No support when the product was faulty.  We call back in a few weeks later and find out that Mr. Stinger is no longer with the company.  The new general manager, I think his name was Rob, or Bob Nine, assured us someone would call us back the next day and get it taken care of, at this point, we're not getting our hopes up at all, but they actually called us back and got it handled, the service manager came out and looked at our windows.  He reorded them and got the new ones replaced for us, yes it did take over 3 months to get it done, but we are happy about our windows.  Fast forward to 10 months ago, we needed a new roof on our house as it is old, and it's time to get it replaced.  Guess who shows up to the door, James Mayes.  He doesn't even remember us at all, but I will never forget his face.  He gives us a demonstration, and we decide to obviously not go along with his program.  Now let’s skip to 4 weeks ago.  We still haven't gotten the work done on our roof, so we call a company to stop out to see us and give us an estimate.  Pinnacle Home Improvements, and guess who stops out, James Mayes.  We couldn't believe it.  He goes about his demonstration, calls his manager, and guess who his manager is, Joe Stinger.  At this point, we just ask him to politely leave, not telling him why we didn't do the work, for fear that one of these 2 would return to our home and rob us in our sleep.  So we did a little background check on these 2 individuals.  James apparently has a few run ins with ripping people off, and a few news articles on him, about getting taken to court for taking money and not ever doing the work.  There's also a ripoffreport article on him, which is what inspired me to write this article to share our experience as well.  That guy is right, we can no longer allow these criminals to take advantage of us and continue to live without repercussions.  We also googled Mr. Stinger too, he apparently hasn’t tried to cover his past up as well as Mr. Mayes, but he also has had a few run ins with the law as well.  The company they work for Pinnacle Roofing has a history of ripping people off, with taking money and not doing the work, as documented by the several articles written about them, also on ripoffreport.  I’m glad that we did wise up and not fall for the scam this time around.  Here is a lovely mugshot of Mr. Stinger for you to see, if there was one on Mr. Mayes, we would have posted it as well, but this will just have to do.  If you see these guys or this company please beware, we are warning you now.

THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE

AUTHOR: Joe Stinger - ()

POSTED: Monday, January 19, 2015

This is Joe Stinger. This whole report is a fabricated novel, and a bad one at that. Rather than to bore you with a bunch of LIES, let me just state the FACTS. James Mayes NEVER worked for Dixie Home Crafters......James Mayes Never worked for Gutter Guardian.....James Mayes Never worked for Pinnacle Roofing....... Now all that being TRUE AND TO BE 100% ACCURATE FACTS. If the person who (and i think i know who you are) have a VALID work order with James Mayes's Name on it for your "WINDOWS" I'II PAY FOR THEM> Thats right! I'LL PAY FOR THEM! CASH MONEY Now for anyone who has read this report, look at the facts and help me understand why someone would publish such harmful ATTACTS on me and my family. I have been in the Home Improvement Business for over 40 years of the 58 years on this earth and pride myself on helping customers and employees. Have i made a mistake or 2 absolutely, but always did every thing i could to fix them. In closing my rebuttal I just want to say The Truth Will set You Free AND KARMA IS REAL. BE CAREFUL
