One 7-14-05 I receive a very friendly call from a man named "Danial Haar" (1-800-508-1835 EX 205) This was not the first call i received from john becks office. I already turned them down serveral time in the past 6 months.

Anyway, i dont know what was so different about this call but, i listen for the entire 60 mintutes.

I WAS TAKEN BY JOHN BECK COMPANY FOR $2230! i know that this is lower than others but it was all i had in my credit card. Danial used nice word to sell me. I asked him how much? he said, dont think of it as cost, but as an investment. BULL. he also "guarenteed" me than i would make my money back on one sale. i sked how? (because i spent all the money on the course) He said that i would be using other peoples money.

As the call went on i was scared at first. ( i mean, i am only 20 years old and was looking for a real business to start) I told danial than i did not have the Initial cds and books that i ordered. (i sold them on eBay) LOL.

He said, well the information is great but in order for you to get all the knowledge of the market you need a mentor. I thought, sure, the more money you invest in education the better the results will be. WRONG.

Well after i agreed to the mentor package he transferred me to a lady who obtained my information. and she said she would be recording the message. And once she did she asked me, "Did danial every promise any income or earning potenial?" i said YES, but she said in order for us to process payment i NEED to say no. (i should have hung up the phone right there, but i did not)

Well the materials arrived quickly and i made the mistake of signing and faxing the "contract" back to them, but after reading the contract i dont think that it will stand up in a dispute.

And one day after my first coaching lesson i KNEW something was wrong. Because my "coach" only told me things i already knew and pointed me to website i already visited. (i was suppose to be directed to "private", "rescrited" sites. NOT eBAy, and BID4ASSETS!!

On 7-22-05 i filed a dispute with my CC company, and with others:FBI, fraud.org, UTAH commerce, Wisconsin AG.

So my question to everyone is, WHat do i do next?

Why is the address that i received form Mentoring of American different that everyone elses?

My letters and boxes say AMERICAN FORK UTAH, not provo, UTAH. I guess the company changed locations.

I was going to send the "study" material back but i dont want to mail to be undeliverable. Should i sent the materials back?

If anyone want to do a class action against them COUNT ME IN. In fact, i would pay $1000 in order to help shut them down. I just dont want to see any other DREAMERS struck down my this company.

I am waiting for them to call back and talk to me (they dont answer the phone and just hang up when i call now) I want to "give them hell" for all the trouble they caused.

As with many of the readers of this site, I READ TOO LATE, Oh well, i am in good spirits, and WILL NOT roll over on the situation. I am willing to fly out to utah and Kick some A$$!!!

I guess that is all for now, I will keep everyone updated with my pending disputes.

Thanks

Matthew

These Inbreeds Won't Quit.

AUTHOR: Reid - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, September 10, 2005

Hey there Joann,

I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirits and health.

I hope that you're still online and are still following this thread from time to time. I was interested in knowing if your attorney would allow me to send a copy of his letter to this collection agency that just recently started sending me collection notices.

I'm not particularly worried about the notice, but want to make sure that these inbreeds don't do something stupid to ruin my credit.

If your attorney would allow me to use his letter, I would be forever greatful. I would also love for him to represent me, should this matter go to court.

I am interested in suing for the maximum allowable while exposing all responsible in perpetuating this scam

THE LETTER READS:

Dear Reid __________:
This firm has been retained by E Partner Net, who is attempting to collect the past due balance on this account owed to John Beck's Amazing Profit's. They would like to resolve this matter as quicky and efficiently as possible. They have therefor granted us permission to settle this issue for $5503.01.

Please call (888) 571-1190 to discuss this offer or other possible alternatives in greater detail, or talk about any questions or concerns you might have.

This firm is considered a debt collector and this communication from the firm is an attempt to collect a debt. Any information gained will be used for that purpose.

Unless you dispute the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, within thirty days after receipt of this notice, the firm will assume the debt to be valid.

If you notify the firm in writing within the thirty-day period that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, the firm will seek to obtain verification of the debt or a copy of a judgement will be mailed to you by the firm if a judgement exists.

Upon your written request within the same thirty-day period, the firm will provide you with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor.

Our offer to settle this matter promptly does not alter the time periods set forth in the previous paragraph for you to request verification that this is your debt, or the identity of the original creditor.

The law does not require us to wait until the end of the thirty-day period before suing you to collect the debt.

If, however, you request proof of the debt or the name and address of the original creditor within the thirty-day period that begins with your receipt of this letter, the law requires us to suspend our efforts (through litigation or otherwise) to collect the debt until we mail the requested information to you.

Sincerely
BENNET & DELONEY, P.C

I am going to contact my Attorney General, credit card dispute department and possibly the FBI and report the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute for trying to collect on a NON-existent debt and on the grounds of harrassment first thing Monday morning.

I am still interested in suing this company and would like to be put in contact with your attorney Joann, especially if this "collection agency" is unable to substantiate the debt.

Until next time, Take Care Joann and Everyone else cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.

EPN. Extremely Preposterous Nonsense!

AUTHOR: Reid - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 01, 2005

Hey there Matthew,

I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirits and health.

MATTHEW: Well it only took 45 day but i finally received my money back.

REID: First off, I would like to congratulate you Matthew, on your speedy victory over this fraudulent company. 45 days? Did you threaten these inbreeds with a machine gun? LOL!

MATTHEW: I got a call from my bank saying that Mentoring of America decided to refund my money.

REID: I wonder what made Mentoring of America "decide" to just refund your money????? Why the change of heart all of a sudden? Are they finally being investigated? I hope this is the case.

MATTHEW: I know that they were going to eventually. Because i DID NOT even sign the contract.

REID: I signed the contract, but wasn't about to pay this fraudulent company "pennies on the dollar." Their contract is bogus, which they eventually end up breeching, by totally being unable to deliver the services which have been agreed upon. I believe this is what's known as FRAUD.

MATTHEW: Now i will be expecting to receive a letter from John beck collections company. (which i will discard ASAP)

REID: EPN is a fraudulent collection agency. If and when you receive a letter from EPN, send it back and tell them that Reid from Hawaii said to go wipe their a$$es with it. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH EPN!

Notify EPN (scam collection agency) that they are no longer to contact you, unless they decide to take matters to court and are able to justify the debt.

Any contact hereafter will result in reports to the FBI and Federal Nuisance Bureau and definitely insue further investigation on the grounds of fraud.

MATTHEW: Thanks for all your help. I just wish i found this web site earlier so i dont have to waste time or money in the future.

REID: 45 days? LOL! You're the man!

Until next time, take care Matthew cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.

It's Inbreeds Like The John Beck Mentoring Institute Who Are Responsible For Turning The U.S. Courts Into A Farce.

AUTHOR: Reid - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 26, 2005

Hey there Joann,

I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirits and health.

Just as I assumed they would, the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute failed to respond to your attorney's letter. I mean why would they?

They are totally unable to prove a 1% "success rate" in the public eye, but believe they are ready to prove a 94% "success rate" in court, thus prove that the 60+ reports regarding their fraud on this website alone are mere coincidences?

If I were the judge in this case, I would round up each and every one of these inbreeds and throw them out of the courtroom on their ears, for making a mockery of our judicial system.

Until next time, take care Joann cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.

Re: JoAnn and Roderic County v. Mentoring of America LLC

Dear Mentoring of America:

This office represents Joann and Roderic County concerning their September, 2004 purchase of the Amazing Profits Real Estate Program. Your company is currently trying to collect $7246.31 from the Countys by making debt collection calls (through your related entity EPN) and by threatening to report this amount on the Countys' credit reports. As explained below, the Countys do not owe any amount, and you are not entitled to make any credit reporting as to them.
I have reviewed the history of this transaction, and find your company's conduct to be shockingly fraudulent. The following is a non-exhaustive list of the fraud:

The CD's and books from the Amazing Profits program were useless. The manuals were incomplete, the vast majority of the websites referenced were dead links, and the CD's were merely infomercials.

Mentoring of America promised the Countys that (1) they could not fail because they would be your next infomercial success story, (2) that if they invested 5-10 hours per week they would make their money back in 60-90 days, and (3) that they would make hundreds of thousands of dollars in the foreclosure market. These were false representations designed to induce the Countys to buy more useless products.

Mentoring of America solicited the Countys to use other people's money for a new real estate program by allowing Mentoring of America to charge their credit card $13,960.00. Your company told the Countys that this amount included (1) lifetime tax preparation or advice, anytime of day or night; (2) free creation of an LLC in Nevada with someone there to answer the phones anytime; and (3) a free trip to Las Vegas to see a John Beck seminar, with travel expenses paid. All of these statements were false. Mentoring of America later tried to charge the Countys additional money for every one of the above items.

Mentoring of America quoted a price to my clients of $13,960 and charged that amount on their credit card. Not coincidentally, this was the County's current credit limit at that time. I understand from my investigation that your company has been defrauding many other consumers by charging them depending on their credit limits.

My clients requested a refund, and Mentoring of America ignored their calls and letters. However, once my clients did a chargeback on their credit card, your company sent my clients email confirmation that the entire $13,960 would be refunded. Kindell Graham of your company told the Countys not to worry, that this was a total refund and that they would not be the subject of any debt collection efforts. These representations were also apparently false. As soon as it had promised a refund, in writing, your company refused return of the books and CD's, and assigned the account to your sister company debt collection agency EPN. Ms. Graham started avoiding the Countys' calls, and once when she answered one of those calls, falsely told the Countys that she would fix the mistake. She did not.

EPN is now trying to collect $7246.31 from the Countys, allegedly for the materials they tried to return and four mentoring calls. EPN now maintains that Mentoring of America didn't actually intend to refund anything, and always intended to collect the money from the Countys later. This is outrageous -- Mentoring of America's own email states otherwise. I am also shocked that your company would try to collect the unconscionable amount of $7246.31 for a total of four phone calls lasting 20 minutes each, which constituted little more than walking my clients through a website and having them write down their goals. EPN has also informed my clients that their credit reports are about to be damaged, and that Mentoring of America has instructed it to collect the debt.
In addition to the obvious fraud chronicled above, your company violated California's Home Solicitation Sales Act in wholesale fashion. The Legislature passed the Home Solicitation Sales Act in 1971 in order to protect consumers from the unfair pressures of sales which are consummated in the home. See Civil Code 1689.5 et. seq.; Weatherall Aluminum Products, Co. v. Scott, 71 Cal.App.3d 245, 249 (1977). The Act grants consumers a 3-day right to cancel such transactions. Civil Code 1689.6. The seller must disclose the 3-day right to cancel in writing, directly above the space for the consumer's signature on the contract (Civil Code 1689.7(a)(1)), and must orally disclose the 3-day right to cancel as well. Civil Code 1689.7(f). The seller must also provide a special tear-off cancellation form in duplicate that the buyer may then use to cancel the transaction. Civil Code 1689.7(b).

Your company did none of these things. Therefore, my clients have the right to cancel the transaction at any time. Civil Code 1689.7(g). Upon cancellation, your company had 10 days to refund all payments made under the contract, and had 20 days to pick up its goods. Your company did not refund all the payments, and it failed to accept the returned goods. Accordingly, my clients may keep the goods without any obligation to pay. Civil Code 1689.7(c) and 1689.11.

It makes no difference that your sales force used the telephone to induce the Countys to enter into the agreements, and never came to their home. The Act applies to telephonic transactions where the offer is accepted at home, regardless of who initiates the telephone call. People v. Toomey, (1985) 157 Cal.App.3d 1; Weatherall Aluminum Products v. Scott, (1977) 71 Cal. App.3d 245; Janzen v. Workers' Comp. Appeals Bd, (1997) 68 Cal.Rptr.2d 260, 263; Luskin & Sons, Inc. v. Samovitz, (1985)166 Cal.App.3d 533, 536 (Although the home solicitation statute is commonly thought of as protecting consumers from the high pressures sales tactics of door-to-door solicitors, the clear, unambiguous language of the statute gives it a much broader application).
Pursuant to the Home Soliciation Sales Act, and because of the underlying fraud described above, any transactions between your company and the Countys are entirely void and unenforceable. You are also hereby put on notice that your company violated many provisions of the Consumers Legal Remedies Act at Civil Code 1770(a). The CLRA provides the prevailing consumer with injunctive relief, and attorneys fees. Moreover, you are hereby advised that if you fail to cure your violations of the CLRA within 30 days, the Countys will also be entitled to damages and punitive damages against you.
You have the opportunity to cure your violations by doing the following within 30 days:
1. Agreeing in writing to waive any alleged debt you contend the Countys owe, and recalling your debt collection agency EPN.
2. Agreeing in writing on behalf of Mentoring of America and EPN not to report any tradeline on the Countys credit reports at any time.
3. Ceasing all contact with the Countys, including by EPN.
4. Returning the Countys' payment of $39.95 for the Amazing Profits materials.
If you do not comply with this demand, the Countys will file a lawsuit against your company and EPN for fraud, violations of the Home Solicitation Sales Act, violations of the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and for damages and punitive damages under the Consumers Legal Remedies Act. The Countys will also consider bringing a class action to set aside all of your transactions in California during the last four years as voidable home solicitation sales, and to force you to return all monies you have obtained in those transactions.
Thank you for your consideration of the above. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Alexander xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Next Step in Winning against John Beck

AUTHOR: Lindsey - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 24, 2005

First, you said that you talked w/ your credit card company. Did you do a charge back? If not do that. I am sure that your company will side w/ you especially if you show them info from this site and let them know of the promises etc that were made.

My husband and I were 24 and 25 when we tried this. We wanted to create a better life for our 3 and 1 year old. In trying to do that we almost created a worse life for them. Luckily we won, and there lives are just fine and happy.
Second, Once you've won don't do anything, but do expect a bill from EPN (john becks associate collections company). They are connected with John Beck and mentoring of america. Once you receive the bill from EPN don't call them or anything because they record their conversations and you might say something that they can twist around and use against you. Once you receive the bill immediately fax and send via certified mail w/ a signature required (so you know they received it) a letter to cease and desist. They cannot call or contact you in any way shape or form unless it's through a legal manor (i.e subpena (SPelling). My attorney told me not to talk to them at all and send this letter.
Check your credit after a month or so to make sure they did not post something...more than likely there will be nothing. I have checked our's twice since march of 2005 and it is still fine (knock on wood and praying). YOu can do a free credit report check at

CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report. PLUS Rip-off Report does NOT believe in any one of the FREE CREDIT REPORTS, this will only lead to trouble!!!!!

Also, my attorney did tell me that if they do put something on your credit that you can dispute that, so hopefully it won't harm you. Also, definitely report John Beck as well as Mentoring of America to the FTC. I did this and hopefully they will get a lot of complaints on them and will eventually do something about them.

Here is a copy of my cease and desist letter that my attorney wrote for me. IT is short and simple, but to the point. It worked for us. Feel free to use it if necessary.

Just Hang In There Matthew. Contact your credit card company immediately and dispute the charge.

AUTHOR: Reid - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 24, 2005

Hey there Matthew,

I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirits and health.

If the contract you've signed is the same one I've signed, then you are absolutely correct. It will definitely not stand in a dispute. Contact your credit card company immediately and dispute the charge.

Refer your credit card company to this website and have them read the many unacknowledged, unexplained and unresolved reports regarding the John Beck Mentoring scam.

I highly doubt you will lose your money to this fraudulent incest infested company, after 20+ victims on this website alone have successfully won favorable decisions.

How the fraudulent John Beck Mentoring Institute can claim a 94% success rate when they are not even able to PROVE a 1% success rate is beyond me. How credit card companies continue to surrender their money to businesses which they already know are fraudulent is even more ludicrous.

Being one of the many victims of this scam, I can GUARANTEE that one would not become one of John Beck's "success stories" and be casted in his up and coming Infomercial with the information he or she receives from this scam company.

To suggest that the John Beck Mentoring Institute is a bad business is somewhat implying they're a legit business. This is absolutely not the case. The John Beck Mentoring Institute is a scam; swindle and nothing more.

$10,000.00-$15,000.00 a month for ones "available credit?" I have a better idea for Real Estate $h!t peddlers. Why not save time "mentoring" and just send everyone who enrolls in their fraudulent programs a check every month for the difference between the "earning potential" and their "available credit?" LOL! F%CK!NG INBREEDS!

Until next time, take care Matthew cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.
