This is in regards to a "room rental agency" that is using ReMax as their own company name, however, that is totally bogus. This so-called agency posted a newspaper ad here in Manhattan, using the telephone number 212-682-0108, and the address 328 Lexington Avenue, between East 39th&40th streets. When you call that number, it is beyond annoying and starts to sound more and more fake the longer the introduction is. You never actually speak to a real person, it's an irritating recording. The recording claims that their office is always busy and that walk-ins are not acceptable. Funny thing is, when I "walked-in" the office, there wasn't a customer in sight, smh lol. Anyhow, aside from the lame phone recording, the sad thing is how this guy named John McDermott is using ReMax's name when you call that number. ReMax is a reputable, legitimate real estate company, and that is probably why John boy is using their name. I contacted ReMax and a nice woman at their Queens office told me that this guy is a scam artist and that she was also going to report Jim for using the ReMax name. That address is also bogus. It is actually 343 Lexington Avenue. There is an American flag on the front of the building and this scam agency is on the 2nd floor, however, the actual company name is something like Room Hunters or Space Hunters or something. But definitely not ReMax.

Once I walked into the office, McDermott didn't say hello or anything, the first thing out of his vile mouth was "wipe your shoes off." Yet he has a dog running around in there. Lmao. The next thing out of his disrespectful mouth was "do you have money?" "And if you don't , can you go to an ATM?!" I was like wow. Then when I asked John why he was using ReMax's name, omg he flipped out. I told him to relax and stated that there are reviews online regarding his company being a scam. That's when he told me to leave, LOL. I laughed at him and told him that I could see why his reputation was so bad and that he needs to be stopped. How is this even legal anyhow? This dude is taking people's money and lying about having properties and everything else. Karma is a B, McDermott, and you'll get yours faithfully. He even made me walk over a gate to leave using the staircase because he wouldn't let me take the elevator back down...talk about an old petty man. Pathetic. He followed me, too and I thought he was going to push me down the stairs or something. This creep is sick. Please shut down his fake company. One less con artist in New York City helps a lot. Thanks.
