I was contacted by J, M & W about a business debt. The initial letter was fairly standard format but did insinuate that they were a law firm, or at least had a legal department, which I have since found they are not, and do not even have any lawyers on staff.
I responded by e mail, acknowledging the debt and making an offer of payment for a portion of the balance, while I reviewed the remaining portion of the balance for its validity. My only response was a threatening letter, not accepting the partial payment.
Since then I have received a barage of email, fax, phone calls, voice mail messages, and even texts, that were rude and harassing, finally resulting in threatening legal action and forensic investigation.
I have hired collection agencies for our business in the past and none of them have had such incredibly unprofessional behavior.

I am not being jugdmnetal, this site is for scams and ripoffs, I am correct in that statement,
this is not a site to come to and cry because your debts are in collection, Yes I do look at the economy and people cant find a job to pay their bills but because you bills are in collection is nopt a ripoff or scam. What if all the finacial institutions came on here and posted YOUR infomation about them being ripped off, by peolpe they extended credit to that have not paid there bills.
The finacial institutions should start doing that because the only ripoffs I see from people posting on collecton agencies are the people posting them are ripping off those finacial institutions.

You should send them a letter requesting validation of the debt. You can get a free sample of the letter at credit info center dot com. Its very useful and may buy you some time.

People Pay your F*****g bills and you will not have to worry about collection agencies calling you!!!!!!!
I am so tired of people crying on this site about how rude collection agencies are, and the tactics they use. I dont care, if you were a reponsible adult and paid the debts that YOU made you would not have this problem.
So most collection agencies have to treat you like a teenage child!!!!!!!!!!
Because thats what you are behaving like when you dont take responsability for your finacial
obligations.
