Johnson, Morgan & White Johnson, Morgan & White Collection Agency uses illegal defamation tactics Boca Raton Florida

This collection agency contacted us a few days ago regarding our "debt" to one of their clients. We explained to the agent over the phone that the outstanding (and fairly small) amount of money their client shows on their books is for credits they should have issued for damaged products we received. We tried contacting the business several times regarding these credits, but as it turns out, the company went out of business. Our explanation seemed to satisfy the collection agent, and we thought the case was closed.

Then today, we received a fax from the agency stating the same amount of "debt"; claiming that our account is "seriously delinquent". At the same time, we started receiving phone calls from many of our vendors asking if we are in financial trouble (which - of course - we are not). These vendors explained to us that they received an e-mail notification from the collection agency, stating that our account is "in collection" with them. We were shocked to hear that our reputation in the floral community has been tarnished by such invalidated and illegal claims. Notifying our vendors and suggesting to them that we might not be able to pay our bills is not only an attack on our professional character, it may also hurt our business financially. We have an excellent payment history with our vendors and are proud of the great relationships we developed with them over the years. Needless to say, we are contacting our attorneys'
