We wired money for superbowl tickets, through Western Union. He cashed the wires and did not send the tickets. The money was sent to names that he could not have possibly ID with, somehow he was allowed to recieve them. We were told by Western Union, a person would have to show ID to pick up money. The plan was after we received the tickets, and vertify they were authentic, we would change the name to Johnathan Hue. We would have our tickets and then we would make sure he was paid for them. Now we know that he probably never had tickets and it was a total rip off from the beginning. We sent 2 Western Union for a $798.99 each. They were picked up at Miami and Hialeah, yesterday January 29th. At one time, he was registered with e bay.

They have to show ID, but it does not necessarily have to match the name that you put on the transfer.

They only have to *know* the name, address, phone number.
It's common for the scammer to suggest a security question or fake name to "make the transaction more secure", but it only makes it easier for them to pick up the money anonymously.
