Joplin Health Care-Administrator And The Director Of Nurses. Care giver broke and broken hearted. I was wrongfully fired by this company. Fired do to absenses, but not once wrote up for or talked to about absenses. I believe this was because of wage descimination. Joplin Missouri

On august 25,2008 I recieved a message to call the don at work. When I called her she said not to bother coming in the following day,because due to my attendence I know longer worked there. This really caught me off guard, yes I had missed a few days of work but no more then anyone else that works there. I had not had any warnings or write ups about my attendence. Which according to the handbook that you recieve upon hire you are to recieve these according to your absenses.

I believe that me being let go is due to the discussion I had with my admenistrator along with another co-worker about a male CNA getting paid 2.50 an hr more then , us with more then 15 years of exsperience. After talking to her she said that none of the cna's made that much an hour, which was an out and out lie. Come to find out several weeks later when nothing become of the situation. We found out that the newly hired cna's were startingout at the same rate of pay that the male cna was hired at, regaurdless of exsperience. And this is why I feel that I was let go. Mean while I mis my residents that I have taken care of and they mis me. There for I think this is cruel to residents and myself because I was taking very good care of them while most of the other co-workers including don was out on a smoke break. Yes I know how important it is to be at work everyday in this profession but kids get sick and so do theyre parents. I have put a call in to the administraitor which was not returned to no surprise to me. I believe the handbook should be followed especially in this area. After all I have a family to provide for.
