My wedding was supposed to take place in May of 2007. I had contracted and paid for everything, however my mother in law was diagnosed with cancer exactly one month and a half before my wedding. It was fast moving, and she passed away within two weeks. Every other Vendor I had was more than accomodating. I had not one other give me a hard time returning my money when I explained the emotional impact a huge shindig would have on my future husband. I could only see our wedding being a reminder of what he lost every time someone came up to offer condolences. Some vendors even called to see how my (now husband) and I were holding up. 

But not Joe Goldsberry. This man who at the time was called Media Concepts and has since changed his company name to simply "Joe Goldsberry Photography", had the nerve to hand to me a contract and tell me he was keeping $200 for his trouble. His trouble? 

He had not taken one picture. Nor had he set anything up. I had met with him one time, and we signed the contract to stipulate what would happen that day and that was it! He was the sole photographer so there was no other staff to pay, he was just a greedy b*****d. 

He is morally bankrupt and apparently financially destitute that he would need to screw grieving people out of money. A contract is a contract yes, however, I didn't cancel because I was going to the beach, I cancelled because an integral part of my wedding would be missing by virtue of a sudden death. My whole wedding would have been instead a memorial. As much as I loved my mother in law, I couldn't put my fiance through that. So I opted to cancel the big show and do it privately with family. 

If you are looking for a photographer who is not ignorant enough to think that his autograph is worth $200, this is not your guy. He is as greedy and money hungary as they come, and God forbid there is a family emergency! He will charge you for the priviledge of stepping in his office!
