JP Recovery Inc. Deceitful West Mifflin, Pennsylvania

To clarify, this is a towing and recovery company. I wanted to voluntarily turn my car back over to the financial institution because it had become a financial burden. They agreed and told me a day they would have it picked up. This ' company' that my bank hired, JP Recovery, came days earlier than I was told and took the vehicle with my belongings still in it. The bank sent me a letter with their chosen company's address a few days later. No number was included, so Google'd it. Turns out the number they have listed on every ad & website is disconnected! I called the lender for a good number & after being transferred 4 times & wasting about an hour on hold, I'm told that the person with that info was on vacation & I would have to call back. Part of the reason I was on hold so long was bc they were trying to locate the number for me but could not. I called back the next week and finally got a good number. The ' lady' who manages this place became irate almost immediately. She told me I needed an appointment, and could not come & get my things unless I paid a fee because I didn't contact her right away & she ended up taking my belongings out herself. I informed her that I'd been trying to call but their listed number is DISCONNECTED.

After her yelling & insisting that I pay some fee, and myself insisting that I do NOT, she says that the number is wrong on purpose so people can't call her. Yet she said item pickups need an appt? How does that work? I said I couldn't believe she ran her business like that & then she tried to say ' it's a fax number'. Wrong! It flat-out says ' disconnected' when called. I told her that & she said ' no one else has a problem finding me'. I'm sure they do-they just can't get ahold of you to tell you! The place is like an hr away from me & she said I'd need an appointment, and she basically said I should've just taken my chances by going out there!? For what, to be told I need an appt and come back? She ended up hanging up on me. I immediately called back & she let the machine pick up. I left a message and have not heard back- and I don't think that I will. Rude and unprofessional.
