JP Taxes (Jeanny Portillo) Tax Agency Tacoma Park, Maryland

I went here on April 8th, 2010 to file my taxes; a friend recommended this Agency to me. He had scheduled an appointment over the phone with them prior to that date and was given a 12-1 slot. I arrived there at 11:45 to allow time to fill out paperwork. When I arrived I was given a "Log" supposedly to keep track of who comes in. I got signed in as number 21 on the list. I presented all my paperwork to a girl named Dalicia and she took all my information down and my original documents, made some copies and told me to wait that my appointment was soon to be called. 

I waited from 12:00 P.M till 4:50 P.M to be seen. I spoke to the Head Tax Preparer in the office (Jeanny Portillo) who seem to be the only handling the preparations of taxes. There was another Woman in the office who only seemed to handle small tasks and a gentleman whose name was "madera" who kept lying to everyone in the office (about 45 of us) that we will be next. They had a DVD system set up with pirated DVD Movies captioned in Spanish. I had taken the day off to come out there and regret ever going in, it was the last week before April 15th and wanted it to get it over. 

I went in to the office around 4:50 and did not get sole attention, I had to wait for a couple that had not been helped yet and someone else came in to sit next to me. Mrs. Portillo asked me personal financial questions in front of those other customers which did not make comfortable at all. After talking a few minutes (not even 30) she told me that my process required about 2 hours and could not help me that evening due to amount of people waiting, she told me to come back on Sunday since she is some sort of Adventist (they don't work Saturdays) and gave me (again a 12:00pm appointment) and that she would take care of me then. 

I got to the Office on time that Sunday only to find out people had been waiting outside the office since 9:00 and had made up a list of their own which was posted on the office door. I had to sign my name in on a customized list. The Office was to be opened at 12:00pm and no one showed up until 12:45. After Several hours of waiting (my wife & kids in the car) I was finally done with my taxes, I AM NOT SURE IF THEY WERE DONE CORRECTLY, I kept hearing people's testimonials that some of the Taxes she prepares she lies on, and does everything on TURBOTAX without the Company's name on them and files under (SELF-PREPARED??) I REGRET EVER GOING HERE, AND HOPE THAT I DO NOT HAVE ISSUES WITH MY TAXES. DO NOT GO HERE, AND DON'T EVEN TRY CALLING, THEIR LINES GIVE YOU A MESSAGE THAT SAYS TODAY IS "THURSDAY MARCH 19, WE WILL BE CLOSED" AND ALL THE MAILBOXES ARE "FULL". I had to get LOUD with the Lady to give me a working number. 

I Had to come back 4 times to get my originals of my W2S and have yet to receive my tax refund, Not sure If I will get one. I am looking to SUE this Company.
