This company provides LOCK Box service for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections you are instructed to send money orders to Jpay 12864 Biscayne Blvd., Box 221 Miami FL 33181 the money then sits in FL for sometimes two months waiting to be credited to the inmates account. We have found through research the company is holding the money making interest on other peoples money.
They force you to use there online service so they can charge you more then $6.00 to send money its a great example of Pennsylvania Corruption you have to send money to FL for a PA state prison makes alot of since...lol

I have to agree that this company want us to pay but they want more than the major companies, however they block my son account and took my money without it them having a reason or anyone to contact me back. I have called 3 or 4 times and yet waiting for a return call or them to unblock my son's account. They know exactly what they are doing by giving me the run around.

Jpay- you lie like a priceless Persian rug on a rich man's floor. You know, like I know, you do not fax or call a credit card company to ask them to release the funds back to me or anyone else. You also know , like I know, that does not happen in 24 hours. you again! Today is July 13, 20012. Jpay double charged me on Julu9, 2012- and the credit is still not on my credit card account. Even your supervisor at the call center says it take at least 72 hours. Here is tip for you -you JPAY-- stop storing my and other peoples credit numbers in your system then you and the families would have to deal you holding our money for days. E-Commerce compliance where are you when you are need. Please check this rip off of compay. Thanks for listening

Credit/Debit Card Holds

Dear Megash,
JPay has no control over the amount of time it takes for your bank to release the hold which the bank (not JPay) places if you input your account information incorrectly. However if you call and ask for the AUthorization Release Hold Team, there is a dedicated group of professionals ready to fax your bank and request that the hold be removed within one buisness day.
Sincerely,
JPay Compliance

Jpay is a rip off for families of inmates

We in Louisiana are having the same issues with JPay. If i send a money order certified mail return
receipt--the envelope gets lost or there a 3 week time frame before my son will receive his money.
But if I pay the on line fees, he gets is money the next day. If I put in the wrong credit card number when paying on line. Jpay's web site says credit card declined. So I again put in the credit number number--correctly this time. Guess what? Jpay will charge me twice. Call then and they must think my IQ is not any larger than my shoe size becasue their answer is" All companies works this way on interent payments and I just do not understand how payments on the internet works" ok I only pay all utility bills, phone bills, credit card bills, bank on line, transfer money from bank on line, and order from many vendors on line . If i make a mistake entering the credit card number the vendor's message is "credit card declined" I re enter and I am only charged one time and one time only. Jpay holds the money for 3-5 working days then sends a fax to the credit card company to I get my money back. TIP never ever use your ATM/bank card to send money from Jpay. they deduct from your bank 3 times and claim they do not.. proof from bank does not matter--"they do not do such a thing"
