JPI - Jefferson Commons Student Living At Fresno apartment flooding, harassment, unsafe living conditions, ripoff Fresno California

In the Period that I have been living in the Jefferson Commons student apartments at Fresno I have experienced many difficulties.

First of all I have experienced Harrassment and received noise complaints based on other roomates whom I was moved into a unit with. After much deliberation and frank dealings with the other roomates and the office I was allowed to move. This being after losing $120 because of a roomate who would not pay me for PG&E which is required to be in the name of one resident per unit despite not knowing the others.

The new apartment was not clean on move in and for approximately two weeks following the move the office came and went as they pleased. This meaning breaking the 24 hour notice law. As time has progressed the office, and the Maintenance break the law not giving me my 24 hour notice rights. On many occassions they have entered the apartment withought notice or permission.

The Last straw has now affected me as of 5AM on Saturday June 9 I awoke to the bathroom flooding on one side of my apartment. On June 8 Maintenance was in and out all day fixing the pipes in the other bathroom where the toilet is full of feces and urine not belonging to myself, nor coming from the apartment.

This new flooding situation was more than just an overflowing toilet. The piping behind the toilet in the wall leaked out and flooded the floor in water which soaked through the bathroom wall into the kitchen as well. The carpet in the hallway is flooded and potentially hazardous to my health.

At this point there is no where left for myself to use the restroom, as I have no idea what is going to flood next. I do not believe I should have to live in fear of flooding, and no restroom facilities. This situation could easily rot the drywall and create a very dangerous situation to my health and that of future tenants.
