In April of 2007 , I purchased 2 chaise lounges #87129 Praire Stone Collection from Sears. I noticed there are several spots on the arms and legs where the finish is either missing or has come off. It is this way on both chaises. Also the sling material that has a 5 year warranty is sagging and drooping. This is really upsetting because despite my best efforts, these were the most expensive chaise lounges I looked at.

Per the paperwork included with the lounges, I contacted the company, JRA Furniture. I emailed them on April 22, 2007. I included pictures as well. On May 9th, I was contacted by phone by Michael Arellano from JRA. He told me that two replacement lounges were ordered and would be shipped out to me within 6-8 wks. The second week of June, I began calling the company just to check the status of the order. I would be on hold for over 20 minutes, leave voicemail messages for every mailbox I could get to and would finally be disconnected. My emails were bounced back to me, first saying the mail box was full and more recently that the mailbox no longer exists.

I am very frustrated that I have spent $500 on this patio furniture and I have no company to stand behind their warranty. Basically the response I'm receiving from Sears.com is 'we are sorry for your problems, contact your local store'. I cannot even get a manager on the phone at my local Sears store in Texarkana, Texas.

Who knew you needed to get the financial background of the supplier of patio furniture?

Sears is stepping up!

I finally got in touch with a manager at my local Sears store. He said, 'no matter what it takes we will make it right'. We set up a time for me to come in and either get a refund or replacement lounges.

Still no word from JRA Furniture, the manufacturer.
