We are a dealer that transports a lot of cars from auction to us and from us directly to customers all across the country and world. We use a special website built for dealers, transportation brokers and transporters.

The website works in a way that you post the load (Pickup Location, Destination, type of vehicle and additional terms) and any transporter that is interested in the load, can call you and ask for it.Any broker that you work with usually use one of those website and add his $200-$500 of the price that actually goes to the carrier.

This website has a feedback system that works just like eBay, you can get and receive feedback based on the experience that the customer had with you. When we advertised the job, we have checked what the average price is and posted it for $25 more. On the very same day, Debbie from JR's has called us and asked to transport the vehicle. We have dispatched (Send the order to her) here the vehicle and 3/7 when the agreed pickup time was 3/9/2009 and delivery time 3/12/2009. Debbie has accepted the order. We have made it very clear to Debbie that delivery time is extremely important and that we are going to pay with a company check. (We have a 100% satisfaction from carriers we have worked with).

We have called JR's on 3/11/2009 to figure out when it will arrive on the following day, we were surprised to find out that Jr's is denying that they have ever accepted the load. I have emailed them the written confirmation and they have called me to let me know that there was a mistake and the driver is on the way to pick up the vehicle.

To make a long story short, the driver has arrive 9 days late, we have lost $1,500 since we had to ship a $3600 container only with 1 vehicle but that's not all. WHEN THE DRIVER HAS ARRIVED HE HAS DEMANDED MORE MONEY AND WAS NOT WILLING TO ACCEPT OUR COMPANY CHECK (OUR COMPANY HAS NEVER HAD EVEN 1 BOUNCED OR CANCELED CHECK).

When my employee refused to the new "demands", the driver has told him: "Forget about this car, you will never ever see it again, I am probably going to sell it on eBay". You think that that's all? No, here are a more issues:
1. The driver took off without car, I had to drive after him and get the police involved. This driver drove like a maniac, blocks the train railway and went through red light. Police had to stop him and escort him to our dealership where he gave us the car and we have paid the original agreed amount.

2. The rear bumper got scuffed.

3. The roof was full from oil that got leaked from one of the junk vehicles they had on their trucks. Now we have s 30K 2008 vehicle with stains on the roof that don't come off.

I am not looking for unnecessary fights but I have to say that I have never had such a bad experience with a carrier. Unlike most other carriers that are on the website, JR has a lot of negative feedbacks from people that work in the transportation industry and not customers that might not know what to expect to.

Do you really think that after everything we went through they have apologized? No way. They have told us that we have bad energies and that they did us a favor taking the car for such a low price (They are the ones who called us and asked for the load, know what's the price in advance. At this time of the year, many snow birds goes back from Florida up north hence it's extremely expensive to send cars from FL to the NE and extremely cheap to go other way around since the truck drivers rather have cars for $250 vs going back empty. The average price on the week we dispatched the car was $225 however we have paid $275. )

Outside of everything mentioned above, JR's has 9 complains on BBB, they haven't even bother working with BBB to resolve most of those complains:

THERE ARE MANY EXCELLENT CARRIERS WITH EXCELLENT FEEDBACK OUT THERE. OUT OF HUNDRED OF CARRIERS WE HAVE WORKED WITH, THIS IS DEFERENTIALLY THE WORST.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
