I went to this Metro PCS retailer to purchase a new phone to upgrade my current account. I decided to take advantage of the outside finance company they have to finance a more expensive and newer phone. The man that sold me the phone (neal) filled out my application for the financing for me since in the store the counter is behind glass. He explained the terms to me and told me I was approved and my payments would be $65 a month with an initial payment due in the store that day.

He asked me if I agreed so he could type my name in the electronic signature box on the computer at the end of my application. I told him I do agree as long as what he was telling me was what was in my contract. I could not see the contract because it was on his computer behind the glass. Again he told me my total amount, and told me it was $65 a month and would be taken from my account on a specific day. I told him I agreed.

Later that night I looked at the contract that was emailed to me after I left the store. The man who sold me the phone told me inaccuate information regarding my monthly payment. My payment was $65 TWICE a month instead of once a month. I also noticed that the initial payment that was due when I got the phone was taken from my account twice. Once from the store and once from the finance company.

The next morning I called Neal back and told him what I discovered. I told him I was entered into this contract with incorrect information and I just wanted to return the phone and be done with it. He stated they have a no return policy with account upgrades. He appeared very nonchalant and uncaring about a situation he caused because he was either dishonest or did not read my contract right. He was very unhelpful. He started to argue with me when I brought to his attention about my initial payment being deducted from my account twice until I told him I had proof. He then returned one of those charges to my account.

I called the finance company and explained my situation and told them I wished to get out of the contract. They told me they honor the store's return policy. The store does not have a return policy. I returned to Neal asking to speak to someone higher than him. He refused to give me any information as to who that might be. I asked for the owner of his company, again he refused. I am extremely upset about feeling "tricked" into this contract with the incorrect information regarding my monthly payment. The amount of interest is outrageous. Neal also claimed to have pled my case to Metro PCS and they refused to honor my return. So now I'm stuck with a payment that is double than what I thought I was signing the contract for. Neal said he would try to get the finance company to reduce my payment but I have not heard from him since.
