The title service at J&T Auto and Trailer was Freddie Davis' recommendation (see also my report on him).


The person in charge of that service, Irene Pruitt, was given government surplus (GSA) paperwork to obtain a title for a military surplus vehicle and asked to process it.  Her quoted price was $55, I paid $45 up front and Mr. Davis agreed to pay the balance upon picking up the title.

After about 2 weeks of follow-ups, I discovered that the title for this vehicle is now in suspension because Mrs. Pruitt apparently crossed out the original name of the buyer on the GSA paperwork and added the name of a dealer she works for.

On top of this, she is now asking for an additional sum of money (over $100) to complete the transaction.

Mrs. Pruitt does this for a living and I strongly suspect she knew this would cause problems.
