JT Card Services: a total ripoff scam

In September, 2001, I received an offer for a mastercard with a guaranteed limit of $4,500.00. It required that I pay a processing fee of $174.90, which included a shipping fee of $19.95. The fee was deducted from my account on October 1, 2001, and a few weeks later I received a confirmation letter from JT Card Services indicating that application was being processed, and I would receive the card in a couple of weeks. When I read the letter I also found out that the mastercard was unsecured and that I would have to "load" it (with money, also paying a load fee) in order to use it. I had been mislead about this card and wanted to cancel.

On October 26, 2001, I called JT Card Services and cancelled the entire transaction. I requested a refund of the processing fee less the shipping charges ($154.95 in total), which I was told I would receive in approximately sixty days. To date I have received nothing - no refund, no correspondence.

I have recently tried contacting JT Card Services at 1-877-876-7890 and found that a new entity has taken over the program. However, I wanted to talk to a representative and only got a recording about this new company, Gas Card Services, taking over and issuing cards. I don't want the card; I want my money back. I sent a letter to Gas Card Services today addressing my concerns, and I hope that I get satisfaction from them I'm not even sure that is a real address: P.O. Box 1685, South Colorado Blvd., Suite S287, Denver, CO 80222. If not I will have to use other means to get my money back.
