Anytime your account goes over the limit they will assess an over the limit fee. It does not matter if you were over your limit for 1 hour or 1 month. The best way to avoid this is to keep your account way under the limit. This is not just with this company but EVERY credit card company out there. What you need to do is real simple to avoid this so called rip-off, stay well under your limit.
To figure your payment.
Pay the interest you are going to be charged for the month(you can look at your previous statement to get an estimate).
Add in the amount you are over the limit.
Add in the amount of the over the limit fee.
Add about 25% on top of that to be sure you are well under your limit.
After you pay this the next thing you need to do is cut up your credit card until you get your expenses under control.
