This happened back a few months ago and I'm writing this report to tell you about a scam Jupiter Support is doing to people of all ages. I turned on my computer a few months ago to check my Comcast email. When I open my email there was an email from one of my cousins which I opened.
Inside that email there was a link that my cousin wanted me to click on. Not realizing at the time that my cousin email account was hacked by this same company I clicked on it when all sudden the computer started to tell me that I had to call Jupiter Support to fix the problem. Again at the time I did not realize that this was a big scam but I called the one 800-number and I talk to a person on the phone.
They told me that I had to pay $149.99 to get my computer to start working again. I asked this person multiple times if they were a hacker or a scam artist? This person said no multiple times and gave me a website link to check out there website and it look legit but unfortunately I took this person at hisword think that this was a real company.
After this person fixed my computer I've been noticing that it's been acting weird for these past few months for example the mouse moving on own or the background picture occasionally turns black and there a computer icon on my desktop that said Jupiter Support on it. In the last few days my computer all of a sudden wanted me to start type in a passwords to get into the computer when it never ask me in the past. I called my son and he sent his IT guy from his office to come check out my computer.
When my son IT guy showed up to my home I started to tell him what happen to my computer and he fixed the problem. He also explained that my computer was hacked and that these guys have been watching everything that I've been doing for the past few months. They also changed all of my passwords and have gotten into my Financial records.
Please be aware that these people are stealing identities and now this is going to cost me dearly to fix.
