I am so frustrated with this company, Just Kids Store.  I am hoping just writing this report will make me feel satisfied/justified in my concerns.  The outrageous state of their customer service, and their disrespect for myself as a consumer has me extremely upset.

Because of a promotion done by cloth diaper manufacturers, Bum Genius, I used several coupons in an order I made from Just Kids Store.  I could have used these coupons with any number of retailers, but I chose Just Kids Store because they price-matched, had reasonable shipping costs, and initially, when I was spending money with them, they had good customer service.  I say initially, because the customer service quality degraded from then on!

I first contaced Just Kids Store to ask about using the coupons.  Chris Brody, their customer service associate, assured me that the coupons would be accepted by Just Kids Store.  She promised me reimbursement for the coupons only AFTER I sent them in the mail.  That should have been a red flag right there, since I was never reimbursed.

Of course, Ms. Brody promised me my reimbursement, most of which was never fulfilled, many times.  Over the course of several weeks she made many excuses as to why the money was not deposited back into my paypal and credit card accounts.  She even told me to check the account, that it would be there, but it never was.  Finally, two months later, she told me that the company was in fact not accepting the coupons, so she would be unable to reimburse me.  At this time, however, it was too late to send the merchandise back, as it had already been in use.

I do believe this was a sort of bait and switch scam.  Ms. Brody promised me a reimbursement for the coupons to get my business initially.  When I had purchased several of Just Kids Store's products, she strung me along, still promising me a reimbursement.  Finally, after making a profit off of my purchases, Just Kids Store went back on their word/promise by denying the coupon.  So they got my business, lied to me, took my good money, offered me poor customer service, and deceived me.  I could have used the coupons at another retailer that was in fact honest and respectable, and I wish I would have!
