On Jan.1, 2005, I ordered a leather jacket from just-leather.com. I received a confirmation email, but never received the jacket. By late January I contacted them again via email. At this time I was told the jacket had been shipped and they would attempt to locate the package.
It is now February 6 and I still have no jacket, despite having paid for it. In the 5 emails I've received from their office, I've had promises that it would be delivered and had been shipped. Now I receive no responses to any emails I send to them.

when I spoke to him by phone that he'd recently moved into a "larger warehouse"
AUTHOR: Bethany - (U.S.A.)

The only physical address and phone number I had for Mr. Sherman are the ones posted by other customers on this website. He said when I spoke to him by phone that he'd recently moved into a "larger warehouse" and cited that as a contributing factor to the confusion regarding my order. Since I don't live in NJ, I have no way of knowing for sure. I do, however, have some common sense.
And, FWIW...the NJ contact information posted by others on this website is very valuable. EXTREMELY valuable. Likewise, Mr. Sherman has posted or has had posted the name of his legal representatives in some rebuttals. A few well-placed calls seemed to speed up the process for me. And, while at first I got no responses to the voicemails left at just-leather.com, that changed quickly a couple of weeks ago. Google can be a very good friend.
And that's all I have to say about that. ;-)

Moved his business?

It would be wonderful if you would share the new address and phone number of Matthew Sherman. I am glad your mother received her jacket. I am still waiting for my "invisible" jacket.

GOOD News Re: Just-leather.com! :-)
AUTHOR: Bethany - (U.S.A.)

Today I received a leather jacket from just-leather.com. Mr. Sherman sent a jacket which was much nicer than the jacket I'd ordered, and I was very pleased with it. (As was my Mom, since it was her delayed Christmas gift.)
I promised the folks at just-leather that I'd post a positive report once I received the jacket I'd ordered and paid for. I had no idea, however, that the positive report would actually reflect an upgrade from the item I'd ordered to a much nicer item. Although it was 2.5 months late in arriving, I have no complaints about the quality of the jacket nor about the level of respect Mr. Sherman showed me when we spoke via telephone. I hope that the "settling in" period after the move of his business from one location to another has ended, and he will continue to fill the outstanding orders he has with the same quality of goods he sent me.

UPDATE VolPay.com processed for just-leather.com
AUTHOR: Bethany - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, March 22, 2005
I was contacted over the weekend by VolPay.com regarding the payment for the leather jacket that they processed for just-leather.com. I have the email they sent me today, promising to refund the money (apparently I was charged TWICE--once on Jan. 5 and again on Feb. 7).
CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report.
PLEASE NOTE: According to the email, (((REDACTED))).com is not at fault. They processed the charge in good faith. Unfortunately they now realize that they've processed MANY fraudulent charges for just-leather.com. They did assure me the charge they processed on Feb. 7 WOULD be refunded to my card. I will let you know when/if that occurs.
