Ordered leather jacket for 5 year old grandson on 8/3/04 from just-leather.com. Waited out the time frame estimated, then started e-mails, phone calls ,left messages, total of about 30 times. Received 3 replys, once they said in process of moving, once stating they would handle matter right away, last time said I would receive a refund immediately.

That was weeks ago. attorney wants too much money to peruse case for a ($37.98) refund. Contacted BBB of Trenton sent back forms and also reported them to fraud hotline. I am so enraged that they made a fool out of me (and upset my grandson) that I am on a mission to destroy this Bill Suriano and Mike Sherman and this so-called Just-leather.com. I was so happy to come across your web site, I do hope you can help me get to these creeps who prey on people who use their services in good faith. I will be forever grateful for any advice you can offer.

Kathryn,

Stop driving yourself crazy. Do the following and all will be fine. Call your credit card firm and tell them what has happened. Tell you want to do a CHARGE BACK and tell them what happened. You sent the jacket and have nothing to show for it. They will credit your account the same day and have Mr. Sherman respond. I did this with him and I got my money back. I think he's running this firm out of his garage. He said he had a warehouse and many employees so why is the Live Chat always off on the site. He said to contact him but how? No phone numbers work, why not have 800 if he is so big, why should we spend our money to contact him over his mess up.

Then report him also to the sites listed. In the end you have your money at least and you can buy a jacket from Wilson Leather or Amazon or somewhere else. I personally did not think the leather was any good on my jacket, it also smelled funny so I am sure you can find better quality at the mall. Its sale season at the mall stores soon, don't waste your time with Sherman and his antics. Do a charge back and forget about him.

Kathryn, you must keep on top of this company. They do not want any more bad publicy. If you must, file with the agencies Richard has supplied addresses for. Contact the BBB of Trenton and also Samantha at global web group Inc. This is who he must have dealings through. I know Matt Sherman will be furious by me writing this because he wasn't pleased with my last entry,he said I didn't put my all into telling everyone his company keeps their promises.They do when they know their up against the wall. The local news is another way to go as a last resort. Keep calling, e-mailing,and leaving messages don't give up because by stalling, MR. Sherman thinks you'll go away. It might take a few months but keep on top of him and I'm sure he'll do good by you. GoodLuck,

It would be helpful if you told everyone, especially me, exactly what you did to finally get him to come through for you...

I am still waiting... He made promises that he did not keep. He now has my money and I don't have ANY coat since he had the wrong one picked up by UPS. I have tried contacting him SEVERAL times to ask when he was going to send the right one, but I'M BEING IGNORED.

What can I do to get this man's attention??

I don't care if he ever wants to talk to me again, but he could still communicate by email!

I dream of the day that the doorbell rings and there is a delivery man holding a box with a dutchess taylor coat inside. (sigh...)

Just letting everyone know that I got a call on Saturday explaining the situation, and apologies...



Yesterday I got an email saying the wrong jacket would be picked up (maybe) today. Still waiting but I was ASSURED this would all be taken care of by the end of the day today (including shipping the correct jacket).



I'm trusting it time it will.



I'll keep you all posted, hopefully with a happy ending! :-)

Thanks for the information, I received a e-mail and a nasty phone call from just-leather a few days ago. They demanded a apolgy and said they sent a free free free jacket as he put it and they will forward all the information to their attorney if they don't hear for me in 5 days. They even said your line is filled with lies.I told them all the people that wrote to your site have the exact same stories so how could we all be wrong. I did get a refund but never ever did I get a jacket or ask for a free one as they stated, they offered it to me. They said I'll be sued for slander, I told them it't not slander but my rite to freedom of speech. They hate me contacting you for some reason? I wonder why?

I am litigation counsel for Rip-off Report and I want to correct a statement made by Matthew Sherman. He falsely states that Rip-off Report has been sued by Dell, Walmart, Target, Verizon, and Amazon. Rip-off Report has not been sued by any of those companies. Further, there is no basis whatsoever for that statement.



One can only hope that Mr. Sherman has more integrity in his business dealings than he does in his posting.



Rip-off Report is often threatened and sued for postings made by consumers expressing their dissatisfaction, but none of the companies mentioned by Mr. Sherman are among those that have sued Rip-off Report.



Further, Rip-off Report has successfully defended those lawsuits and continued to protect the First Amendment rights of the authors who post on this website.

Our company has a warehouse where we complete orders as well as wholesale to major retail chains around the world. Like many businesses we have a mailing address different than the actual location. Our company is not in a highrise. We have a complete warehouse which we have just moved into to help serve the clients better. This website is not a chat website. We understand the few peopls concern. We have issued them back there funds or let the credit card company issue them back there money. We only wish we can post the copies of the checks that people have cashed from us. This website is under many many law suits from various companies such as Dell, Walmart, Target, Verizon, Amazon andmuch more. If a customer has an issue and it wasnt handled than we can understand poor remarks. These paeople including Marie Ciafre has been handled, spoken to and refunded with a generous gift of a free jacket.

Just received e-mail from customer service of just-leather asking if I received refund or jacket. This is the same message I got 3 months ago when I first inquired about my order.If you ask me this whole just-leather thing is getting crazy. Richard thank you for the agencies you told me to contact. It was very help full and to Kathryn in Palm Harbor, I contacted the local Fox News (What's bugging you). I suggest everyone contact agencies Richard has posted and keep on top of this and I'm sure you will get results as I did. This company is into alot of shady deals so buyer beware! before ordering any thing on line again make sure it's a real company. Don't give up!!!!

I too have been burned by this guy. I'm at least technically not out the money because I have a leather jacket in hand, albeit the WRONG ONE. I can at least try to sell it on ebay...



I was going to suggest that all of us email our friends with a link to this website. Hopefully they will pass it on and word will get out.



I also cancelled my credit card. I now have to wait 7-10 days to get a new one, but it's probably better to be safe than sorry.



Just curious... did you email the local fox station or the national one?

I received my refund from just-leather because I contacted the local Fox News Station. Matthew Sherman called me at 11:30 PM and wanted to know what I told them. I told him I hadn't spoken to them yet only though e-mail. A few days later I received my refund and a promise of the jacket for my grandson. After a couple more e-mails to say he didn't forget about the free jacket, he asked me to make others know that he kept his promises. I'm kind of soft hearted so I agreed, as of today still no jacket and no more e-mails, Then I got curious and did some research to only find out, there is no company, just-leather or the alleged gift-catalouge.com. He uses a Post office box, The phone #'s are cell phone numbers or out of service phones. His addresses are high rise apartments. The biggest shocker is his just-leather phone # is serviced to a Bill Suriano! I'm concerned and a little spooked because this guy who ever he is has my phone # and address and when he called me so late at nite I told him to lose my number because I wanted nothing to do with him. I don't know how no one does anything about this... I have filed several complaints to other agencies.I want everyone to know about this so it is on file . Thanks to you guys at rip off.
