I ordered a set of shocks from these guys on eBay and received three a week later. Emailed them and they said the fourth was on the way from the factory and would receive tracking info.
I patiently waited and didn't hear from them for two weeks.
I then opened a paypal dispute. They offered me less than a fourth of what I paid to "reimburse me" a strut.
 I asked for the price of one strut locally so I didn't have to wait any longer than the 3 weeks they had already put me off. They came back with the original offer of less than one strut. I took the refund and bought it locally.
Thanks for the poor customer service, lack of promised communication and not even an apology for the inexcusable delay.

And Ive never heard a single word from you aside from the reply to my negative feedback saying I should be happy that I was refunded the price of the one strut I received, which incidentally my vehicle came equipped with four struts.

These guys also ripped my dad off a few years ago for a 400 dollar defective clutch saying that it didn't have a warranty when he could show in writing on their webpage that it did. Was never used, just put it in the car and was slipping.

I'm a member of several car clubs locally, work on cars for a living, and I plan to let as many people know as possible to stay away from these guys.

Eric:  No problem, call us anytime.  We were happy to give you a full refund, but unfortunately we cannot pay the extra $30 dollars that the local parts store charged you.  This is a great example where we can save you a lot of money by cutting out all of the middle-men that the local stores use.  The trade off is that it does take a few days in processing and shipping.

I would like to point out the struts weren't purchased on your website, but ebay.

Your auction said nothing about any kind of delay, if you had to drop ship something, that should be noted in the auction. I was never informed at any time that I was only getting three struts until I received only three and saw a sticker that said the other one was on the way.

I then emailed you and you said the strut was "on its way form the factory" and that I would received the tracking number shortly. There was no mention of it being "manufactured" or ANY mention of it taking weeks to receive the strut. If it was going to take two weeks to get it I should have been notified of it. If I had known what the time frame would be I would have purchased all four from a different online retailer for the same price, but since I needed the car I had to go purchase the strut locally.

I didn't use a discount code, and there's no price difference between the struts.

Ironically I wouldn't know if the item arrived from the factory since your communication was horrible and you had lied to me about it being on its way from the factory and time frame anyways.

Obviously I cant force you to make things right by paying the difference in price for the strut, but if thirty dollars is more important to you than a happy customer and your reputation then that says a lot about your company.

Thank you for the apology, this is in fact the first time Ive received any communication since before I opened the paypal dispute and you claimed I would have tracking info shortly.

Eric:  We appreciate your note and are happy to help you.  First of all, we dont sell clutches (we are suspension specialists) so that item your dad purchased some time ago had to be from some other company.

We do see an order under your mothers name for a set of subaru struts, we assume that is what you are referring to here.  That kit included a set of four struts, and as we discussed one of them was in manufacturing and would be delivered a couple of weeks later than the first three.  We understood that you wanted to cancel that one so you could purchase it locally, so we issued you a full refund for that item.  That item was a few dollars less than the other ones, so it was only 24% of your grand total.  You had also used a discount code so the refund was lower than the listed price shown on the site.  We also understand that the local parts store wanted more money for the part than we charge, but unfortunately we cannot issue a refund for a higher price from another store.

Ironically while all of this discussion and the chargeback was in process, your items arrived in from the factory and we could have shipped them to you for next day delivery at no extra charge.

Please accept our apologies for the hassles on this, we are always happy to help and the best way to do that is to simply call us ASAP and let us fix it promptly.
