I had the misfortune of working under Justin Belter, a VP for Wingspan Portfolio Advisors. He started off with no experience and making close to nothing but because he snoozed up with higher ups he ended up in months becoming VP. Wingspan Portfolio Advisors handed out "Titles" like candy to everyone who snoozed up with those in power even when the Titles were not merited, as in the case of Mr. Belter. Justin Belter was the WORST MANAGER I have ever worked for. He singlehandedly caused several employees to quit, was known for using racial epithets directed towards blacks such as the N word and unfairly discriminated against blacks, Muslims and Hispanics in favor of other whites. White people occupied a majority of the easy, high paying jobs at Wingspan even though many minorities stayed later and worked like mules. There was a very racist and bigoted hierarchy at Wingspan which Mr. Justin Belter, who openly called another emplyee, a black male, the N word, was a part of.  He was vindictive and mean spirited.


Justin Belter singe-handedly caused several employees to file EEOC complaints against the company for which one has been given permission to proceed as a lawsuit against the company and is in litigation today. Due to Justin Belter forcing employees to lie to company customers and clients about records and his poor job performance constantly having to have others clean up behind him, he caused the loss of a a major client's contract which caused the layoff of almost 500 employees. He acted spoiled because of his super close relationships with the higher ups who viewed him as a son and who let him get away with many things that would have gotten him fired at any other firm, but at Wingspan Portfolio Advisors he was promoted even though he showed no merit.


This is how it is. it is not what you know or even how hard you work. It is WHO you know. Mr. Justin Belter caused a lot of trouble for the company and ruined one employee so much they can never work again and is obtaining disability.


Whatever you do stay away from this manager. I wish I had of known. Many of us wish we had of known how awful he would make our lives and the longterm health and mental damage he would do to us. No job is worth that kind of stress. No job. He proves that Wingspan Portfolio Advisors is nothing more than a Ponzi Scheme out to scheme from larger corporations and mislead and abuse their customers as well as their own employees.

Justin Belter has been hired by Agility 360. Apparently its another small upstart. The guy can't seem to get with the majors and goes from start up to start up. He's "discount" labor.. Wingspan's leftovers. He went over to Agility360 with other Wingspan castaways. On their page they state the following:

"Mr. Belter joins the company after holding leadership positions in operations and strategy over the past 11 years. Most recently, Mr. Belter served as a Senior Vice President at Wingspan Portfolio Advisors where he managed multiple projects dealing with default resolution, homeowner assistance and complaint resolution, and was a key player in successfully creating a new company division that experienced exponential growth."

Wow.

What a LIE. Justin Belter is around 34 years of age (if that) and he was a entry level, low wage employee when he started at Wingspan Portfolio Advisors. He had NO experience in Mortgage and the only reason he was promoted was because he was personal friends with Dickard. 11 years of Experience? That is a LIE. When he started with Wingspan Portfolio Advisors he was around 26 or 27 and had very limited corporate experience. Look at how the black and white photo of belter tries to make him look "older" than what he is and more seasoned. lol! Boy these guys are master perpetrators.  He had only had a fluke of a parttime job before Wingpsan. This is how these guys work. They LIE for each other. To MISLEAD the public.

Apparently Cesar Hernandez, the "CEO" of Agility360 was an Ex Wingspan Portfolio Employee along with Belter (who was booted - I believe they all were booted to be honest) and others and now they have started this company.  So this is a little upstart with a lot of  fancy, smancy writing. Maybe it will fool some folks.

Justin Belter has been finally been Fired from

Wingspan Portfolio Advisors.

 

Steven Horne, the CEO of Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, grew tired of being inundated with multiple employee complaints about Justin Belter's abusive and racist behavior and apparently this was causing a loss in business as word had gotten out. Hopefully Mr. Horne will hire competent people this time. Belter had no experience and was hired on as a $10 dollar an hour employee who used his affiliation with Jason Dickard (Also recently Fired From Wingspan Portfolio Advisors) to breeze up the ladder. However it soon became apparent he was way in over his head. Justin Belter caused a loss of two major contracts.

Also fired were Melanie Pellegrino and Kevin Conn.

These two so-called "Executives" have dumped their Linkedin pages for now. I'm sure they'll put them back up when they concoct some "new lies" to cover up their "FAILED" leadership abilities and "TERMINATIONS" from Wingspan Portfolio Advisors.

 

Steve Horne can finally afford some experienced managers and he's cut his weak links..

Justin Belter is now using his kid as a backrop on his Linkedin page photo in efforts of invoking the sympathy of HR recruits to help him find another job. This is true desperation.

I feel no sympathy for this dude. He's destroyed too many

people. He would have destroyed Steven Horne too had he not

been Fired.

Wingspan Portfolio Advisors hurt many people. There management was corrupt, abusive and unethical. Wingspan was an all around crook. They MILKED their vendors for thousands of hours of overtime fraudulently. We sat on the clock until late in the night doing nothing but just sitting there. Justin Belter was not just verbally abusive he also had a penchant for using racial slurs. Justin Belter was the single handed cause of two different Wingspan Portfolio Advisors Lawsuits and multiple EEOC claims. Not only did Wingspan Portfolio Advisors milk their vendors for every dime they could they forced their employees to LIE to mortgage holders about loan mods, foreclosures, etc. We were actually being told by Justin Belter to tell Bank of America mortgage holders they did not have to pay mortgage payments while awaiting a loan modification. People, American military, the Elderly, Widows lost their homes over this. These people were EVIL. Now they are paying SEO management companies to push down their dirty deeds and hide them from google with a lot of fake news publications that are routinely put out by SEO management companies.

Wingspan is just a bad deal all the way around. Very poor management but I guess everyone knows that. The top tier of the company is filled with relatives and other close acquaintances. Promotions are all based on BS reasons of who knows who. Positions are created for favorites where they actually do nothing but hold titles and give meetings. Terrible company and I am actively looking for other employment. I wish I would have known how terrible this job was before I accepted it. Lots of things are coming to the forefront now.  For the life of me I don't understand why Mr. Horne is so loyal to these spoiled brats running around his firm threatening to bring down what he has worked so hard for. To choose Justin Belter and actually Jason Dickard and Melanie Pellegrino as well for their positions when they really had no experience is beyond me. Maybe he wanted loyal folks he could groom into management material but these guys are not management material at all. They are God awful managers who are often abusive and tricky to staff. 

Kevin Conn and Justin Belter would deny work to certain employees and then turn right back around and terminate the employees for failing to meet numbers. Who the F does that kind of thing but a shady, cutthroat manager? These people have no souls. No doubt they have severely shaken the trust of many of their former employees. 

Justin Belter is a real curiosity however. I remember when the guy married his wife. Yeah... The one drinking the cheap booze looking like a hooker on the picture above. Yes, her. Jason Dickard would go on and on in meeting bragging on the honeymoon to Mexico they took at some sleazy getup down under. These guys are nothing but rednecks honestly. They can't even pretend to have class.

Then when Mr. Justin Belter successfully managed to knock up his wife Jason Dickard went on and on bragging on this.. Geez. I am aware that it was Jason Dickard that promoted Mr. Belter. Singlehandedly. And that coddles him to this very day and that talks up even the tiniest of Mr. Belter's accomplishments. I mean honestly, Mr. Dickard and the rest of the "Connected inner crew" went on and on about Justin Belter successfully impregnating his wife I was pretty sure we would all have to bow to the guy or something. Who needs to be treated like that for getting their wife pregnant. I heard folks pretty much had to clap when he walked past. Is the guy that pathetic that even getting his wife pregnant merits that type of a response?

He is obviously in the inside clique at Wingspan but I grew so d**n tired of Mr. Dickard going on and on and on about the guys honeymoon and then kid on the way. I mean honestly he would just not shut up about the guy. I use to wonder if those two were secretly lovers.

And every-time you turn around Mr. Dickard has bestowed new titles on the guy. I have watched Justin work. It is nothing special. The guy also just sounds plain dumb. There are people having to answer to Mr. Belter that can mentally run circles around the guy. However, this is how it works when you are apart of the inside clique. You can do no wrong. 

Wingspan is a complete joke. I can't wait to get away from this terrible company.

The company is certainly ran by bigoted rednecks who did seem to get off on mistreating minorities. I chalk it up to people who aren't use to anything. When power gets in the wrong hands it will be abused, just as it was at Wingspan.

The company is a joke. It's managers are a joke. If you are a minority, leave Texas and move up north or out west to a place that will not discriminate against you to the extent that they do in Texas. Justin Belter would often make disparaging comments regarding blacks to me and others and I always felt uncomfortable. He would drop the N word regarding blacks and I guess he presumed because I'm from Texas and I'm white I would accept this behavior. The guy is an idiot. A complete loser. And a very vile and racist person. I feel so sorry for the blacks who came across him. He deserves to be sent back to the Trailer park that he came from.

I don't know which was worse between Melanie Pellegrino referring to blacks as roaches or Justin Belter always coming around to call blacks the N word. He also disparaged hispanics and muslims too. But he seemed to have an unusually deep hatred for black people. The guy did well to keep from bringing a whip because honestly he seemed just that racist.

Jason Dickard promoted this guy just because he liked the guy. There was nothing special about his work at all. He had no special abilities and in all honesty was not a people person. He work was always average. Jason Dickard saw him as a little brother.

I would hear about Jason Dickard going into meetings to brag on the guy's work to justify putting Justin in that position when it was not merited. It was all a lie. Because you guys (most of you were black) Jason Dickard felt a lie would go over easy. He felt that he could say anything so that people would not question his appointment of Justin Belter. Jason Dickard hung out with Justin after work often before the promotion and they would go drinking together I've heard. So he was pals with the guy.

Wingspan is nothing but a good ol'boys club. They lie for each other and rub each other's back. The managers there cared nothing for the employees. At all. I have never seen a company undercut its own employees the way Wingpsan does and no matter how many fake articles its publicist company puts out to deflect attention from the negative press the company gets in reviews from employees, word will always get out that this company treats minorities crappy.

I say leave Texas. If you are black your education won't make much of a difference. The average company in Texas is ran by rednecks who take exception to educated blacks. Look at how they are always mistreating blacks and being sued for it or finding ways to underpay you. Look at how Wingspan labeled the majority of black employees "contractors" to get out of giving them insurance or Holiday pay. Yet those white employees were being made permanent almost immediately or being brought on already permanent.

Justin Belter is nothing more than an entitled southern redneck. They all are including Jason Dickard. I use to hate hearing the guy talk. He was always sucking up his spit like he overproduced it or something and honestly I think the guy loved the sound of his own voice because he would give so many meetings about the same s**t it was ridiculous. That's a sign they don't know what the hell they are doing. Wingspan is not the only company in the world. In fact its a pebble in the great wide ocean. In fact, start your own company. Compete with them.

Learn from what you went through at Wingspan in that there is such a thing as a truly horrific employer. Yes there is. Don't believe that what happened to you was a reflection of "YOU". It wasn't. It was a reflection of them. It was a reflection of Wingspan and its piss poor, inexperienced, racist management. This is one of the reasons the company lost such a major contract. Word must have gotten back to Bank of America of their wrongdoing and illegal activity.

Be happy you are no longer there. I am.

FACT: Seven months later, in September of 2008, the stock market crashed. On September 29, 2008, the Dow Jones lost a record 777 points in one full day of trading.

Thank you for your response. I wanted to know if Wingspan Portfolio Advisors did similar work as the ones who were exposed in a 60 Minutes segment from April 3, 2011. It appears that there was forgery taking place by employees who worked at some of the companies that were working with the banks who foreclosed on homeowners.

Karl, Wingspan Portfolio Advisors does mortgage servicing and now since that business is suffering a bit and considering their are so many competitors in that particular business they are frantically trying to branch out into different industries. From reading the website it is somewhat difficult to understand fully what the company does now other than the mortgage servicing. It seems like a lot of hype and big words that are meant to confuse. Their website if you read their various services was not meant to be understood by the average person and not even a highly educated person. It was solely meant to inflate their capabilities and make it seem like they are highly knowledgeable in various fields within the financial services and insurance industry. It is a bit of a stretch if you ask me simply because the so called "management" hired by Wingspan had no expertise in any of those industries. Neither finance nor insurance. So how is it all of a sudden the company is an "expert" in those fields?

Wingspan's biggest customer was BOA and Wingspan experienced tremendous growth starting with the Great Recession of 2007/2008. However, this was somewhat short lived because many banks now have a much better hold on their modifications/loans, etc. So business dropped off substantially after the economy improved. The only thing was Wingspan rushed and went on a hiring spree and grew from less than 100 people (according to their website and the publications they put out) to over 1,500 people. Yet they were solely hiring these people off of the business of one company, Bank of America, which was not guaranteed and could be ended at anytime. However, per their press releases the company had "diversified" and was pulling income in from many different sources. This simply was not true. Wingspan Portfolio Advisors only had one steady stream of income which was from Bank of America. Wingspan was trying to pull far smaller accounts from companies such as Nestle and Chase Bank but I don't think many of those panned out. So lately when Wingspan ended up losing the Bank of America contract because of the unethical acts of their inept and corrupt management, in particular Kevin Conn, Justin Belter, and Melanie Pellegrino who had NO experience in the Financial Services industry to begin with, this ended up getting back to Bank of America who  suddenly yanked the contract and Wingspan had to layoff 500 people. Wingspan claimed that they would place these folks in different areas of the company but that too is a lie because Bank of America was the main money maker. There aren't too many other places in the company with the revenue to justify the headcount.

The company is very slick with words. 

However, back to how the company generates money. I stated their major contract was with Bank of America and this was true. They handled the overflow modifications and customer relations for Bank of America during a time of upheaval in the mortgage industry. I could be mistaken but I think Bank of America paid Wingspan per hour per headcount which was a major, major source of revenue. Now this is what I was told.. the person could have been wrong. But Wingspan negotiated a contract with Bank of America where Wingspan would provide highly qualified, well trained, mortgage professionals to handle things such as loan research, investigation, litigation, and loan modifications. These people were suppose to be the cream of the crop and because of this Wingspan was able to extract from Bank of America a per hour fee of around $60.00 per person with the agreement being that Wingspan had to adequately compensate these "professionals" they hired who were suppose to have all this experience. 

Then Wingspan turned around and started hiring folks off the street with no experience at all in the mortgage industry, no knowledge of mortgage terms, and they would put these folks through a two week crash training course that honestly could have been taught by a highschooler and then these folks would in turn start handling complex loan communications between Bank of America customers and attorney firms, etc. These folks had no experience doing that and neither did Wingspan's OWN MANAGEMENT. Managers would often give incorrect information to BOA customers and would outright LIE to these people about loan documentation they knew Bank of America did not have as we were directly inside their system. In other words many folks were mislead. 

Bank of America's system was a complete mess with large gaps of information which happened when a staff member was fired or moved to another department while in the middle of working a loan modification and instead of passing the file off to another person the file would sit untouched for months with the BOA customer getting farther and farther behind going into foreclosure or eventually losing their home. The directions and instructions changed daily and many of these low paid associates would often give out inaccurate or incorrect information to Bank of America customers telling them they did not have to pay on their loans at all for months! only for the customer to find out this information was completely wrong at a later date or when it was too late.

Wingspan's Management who now hold VP slots or Director slots started off with no experience at all within the mortgage servicing industry and these people where also passed off to Bank of America as being "seasoned, experienced, highly qualified loan professionals" which justified a high hourly rate. In addition to the lie about Wingspan's management being seasoned professionals, these managers also lacked diversity training and sensitivities, and would often yell at staff, make degrading comments about minorities and abuse staff at will apparently because they had the full faith and confidence of Steve Horne who personally liked all of them. They are the reason Wingspan is today embroiled in racial discrimination lawsuits.

However, back to the topic.. Wingspan was only paying their workers working these extremely complicated cases around $11.00 dollars an hour while misleading Bank of America into believing these folks were making $30 dollars plus an hour if not more. 

This way the company was able to keep the vast majority of what should have been fair pay for the work being provided to themselves and on top of it all no benefits of any kind were being offered. These "managers" who were all in an inner circle at Wingspan and who had no management experience went around promoting their friends and drinking buddies who they all hung out with after work into these grand positions with these big titles and very nice salaries when in fact none of it was justified. Folks who had no experience or education or know how leap-frogged others who were far more qualified just because of the buddy buddy system.

When business started suffering, the company issued instructions to randomly fire people. Anyone who wasn't in the inner circle of "friends" and this is what started happening. The owner of the company, Steve Horne, gave tremendous power to his "buddies" one can say. Folks he liked personally but who simply lacked managerial experience. These folks in turn fired hard working knowledgeable staff and kept their friends that ended up only eroding the company even further because a lot of their "talent" was suddenly let go due to nepotism and favoritism. 

To finish off, the company has other very small revenue streams from here and there just assisting smaller firms play catchup on paperwork or customer calls, etc.

Can you please explain what Wingspan Portfolio Advisors actually does? Also include some of its customers, if you can. It appears to me that they are linked to the housing/mortgage/banking industry in some way.
