K2 Smokes 2 UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES TO CHECK CARD AND NO CIGS - Internet

I decided to try buying cigarettes online for a short period of time in the fall of 2007. I signed up with K2 SMOKES for a recurring order for $25.98 with weekly shipment being paid with my check card. (BIG MISTAKE) I was not pleased with the quality of this company's product so I emailed them to request the orders stop and my account be cancelled the end of Oct. 2007 but never got a response back. I figured that everything had been taken care of as there were no more charges on my check card being made.

In Dec. of 2007, I noticed a charge go through which I did not recognize and after a few phone calls I found out it was from K2 SMOKES being billed by CHRONOPAY.COM. I called CHRONOPAY and told them I did not authorize the charge and I had cancelled my account with K2 SMOKES 2 months ago. They gave me a song and dance saying they would contact K2 SMOKES with the information I just relayed to them and said my account would not be charged again. The only way to contact K2smokes is by email so I had no choice but to write them about the charge saying the same thing to them as I had to CHRONOPAY. I GOT NO RESPONSE AGAIN! I contacted my bank, USBANK, to dispute the charge and was temporarily credited back to my account.

One week later another charge for $25.98 appeared on my checking account being billed by CHRONOPAY.COM and I automatically knew it was from K2 SMOKES. SO once again I went through the process of contacting all 3 parties....K2 SMOKES, CHRONOPAY, and US BANK to file a dispute. ChRONOPAY said it was up to K2 SMOKES what was going to be done as far as a refund. K2 SMOKES said no refund would be given because the cigarettes had already been mailed out despite the fact that I did not authorize the orders and had informed them to cancel my account. US BANK once again gave me a temporary credit of $25.98.

It is now Feb. 7th 2008 and US BANK has taken the 2 charges out of my account and then placed them in my account 3 times and I have not received any of the 4 cartons of cigarettes from the 2 orders. The disputes are still pending tomorrow US BANK is supposed to put the money back in again but who knows if they will decide to take it out on Monday. And to top it all off I can still log into my account with K2 SMOKES where I can see my check card info but can't erase it, maybe they will decide to authorize themselves to charge my card again and not ship out the items.

BOTTOM LINE - Do not put yourself through the headache of dealing with this type of situation.....STEER CLEAR OF K2 SMOKES! That is the worst $50 I've never spent and will probaly end up having to pay for!
