I signed into a MCPD course, on the basis that Kaplan boasted that they partnered with Microsoft.
I requested to withdraw because, while the course recommended a text published by Microsoft Press: Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 Application Development Foundation (Tony Northrup and Shawn Wildermuth, with Bill Ryan of GrandMasters), they had absolutely no effective instruction technique.
The guidance they provided was: "Read chapter x. Do the exercises at the end of the Chapter". They provided a 5 question quiz, which one could answer without an understanding of the material, and the course instructor did not respond to comments or questions.
I was warned that they would give me the run-around, and their automated answering service and their cloak-and-dagger, pass-the-fool-around email service are designed to do just that.
How many more students have to be ripped off before the Government looks into this?
