Karen Salmansohn Charlatan. She charges $250 hr to help you but she has no credentials Internet

Ive personally known Karen and her books, coaching, seminars etc for about 7 years. She's generously helped me-  and others I know - with book deals - and projects - without ever asking for money! She's the type of person who just naturally loves to help people. Anybody who knows Karen knows that this! The writer of this complaint is obviously the true charlatan -because the description of Karen is just completely ridiculous - and filled with inconsistencies.

Firstly, Anonymous' original complaint not only states they paid a fake amount of $250, they also claim it was for a single session. Now theyve come back saying it was $200 - and for a lot of sessions. Well, Karens fee for $200 was back in 2009 and 2010. Since then she charges $225. Back in 2009 and 2010 Karen's website was totally different. It was set up to take payments for coaching orders via paypal buttons on her site - not by check. Plus Karen offered (and still offers) discount packages for anyone who wants more than 2 sessions. So if this person ordered more than 1 session the fee would not be for $200 per session -but less. This whole complaint story sounds fishy to me. If it happened in 2009 or 2010 why write something in Oct 2011?

Another fishy element -  it's strange this anonymous writer refers to her ex-fiance - the person others mentioned they think wrote this complaint - as a "poor soul."How could anyone who read the above descriptions of her ex-fiance's cruel and conscience-less behavior ever call him a "poor soul"? Just doesn't make sense - unless you're that guy!

Plus Anonymous completely overlooks that Karen generously coaches young people for free - as a fairy goddess mentor - which shows she's not all about money. And her praise is all totally real. As mentioned by others - Karen's Facebook fanpage has lots of fans posting praise daily. She's now up to 42,000 fans! I gotta say I agree with the others that Mr. Anonymous is most likely her bitter ex-fiance....cause Anonymous' complaint just doesn't add up!

Karen Salmansohn is not only a charlatan, but also narcisstic and manipulative. She knows very well who I am ( and not the poor soul she and all her aliases are blaming). I chose not to use my real name and call myself anonymous. When I went to see Ms. Salmansohn, I was a young, newly divorced naive Mother of a 2 year old child who was very depressed. I did not want my work place to know. (by the way, I checked my check book, and yes I paid $200per hour and not the $250 originally reported)).

As i was getting deeper into my depression my family knew I was seeing her and that she was not helping me get out of my depression. Thank god, they referred me to a real doctor to get the real help I needed, (and it was much less than the $200 per hour Ms Salmansohn charges).

I do believe if you are a life coach, like Karen Salmansohn, your really should not only see $$$$$$ signs, but you should take the time to know your client and have some general idea when to refer a client to a real doctor.

I hope this clears up any uncertainties. I just don't want somebody else to make the same mistake as me. So everyone, be aware!!!!!

I am Karen's website designer/developer. I am extremely aware of all the content which is on her site for the last few years. Karen's never charged an hourly fee of $250. When I began working with her, her hourly fee was $200 an hour. She then raised her hourly fee to $225 an hour - after a purchase of a PILLAGE and CONQUER package. I can vouch for the fact that Karen's never offered a $250 an hour fee anywhere on her website - and thereby this Anonymous person is making a false claim as to hiring Karen for $250 an hour.

Also Karen's description of herself on her website has always been 100% crystal clear that she is "self help for people who wouldn't be caught dead doing self help" - that she offers self help with humor and stylish graphics. Nowhere on her site has she ever said she is a doctor. So again, this Anonymous is making a false claim as to Karen presenting herself as a doctor.

Also, I am the one who posted her praise on her site - and every single praise from a fan which is up there came from an actual email. All the praise from pros also is 100% accurate. If a consumer needs any further validation that Karen's praise is real, they simply need to visit her Facebook fan page - which has about 30,000 fans - who are regularly writing praise on her page -thanking her for the work she does.

I also want to add that it's been a pleasure to work with Karen since Day 01. She is kind, compassionate, fiercely creative and overall just a terrific person. This is so clearly a hoax to mar her reputation, I can't even believe it's posted here.

In summary, this complaint is totally false - obviously written by someone who concocted a fake story in an attempt to hurt Karen. I know she's had some troubles with her ex-fiance Mitchell Leff - so I wouldn't be surprised if he is the Anonymous who posted this ludicrous complaint.

I find this complaint to be completely unfounded. I am highly familiar with Karen's books, seminars and Facebook page. Karen is a self help author and life coach - and is very much known for offering her coaching for FREE to young people. She's been written up as a "fairy goddess mentor" - because Karen recognizes how some people don't have the funds for coaching - and she still wants to help them. She also does not charge $250 an hour - and has never charged this amount in the past either. This is a completely fabricated coaching fee - which just shows that Mr. Anonymous (funny how the writer of this post is going under Anonymous!) is fabricating this whole post - most likely because Mr Anonymous is Mr Mitchell Leff  - her ex-fiance - who abandoned Karen while pregnant - after he paid about 30 thousand dollars to the IVF cinic to purposefully make her pregnant with his sperm. Sadly, Mitch Leff has done so many messed up things to Karen which lack integrity and compassion ( ex.

He left her with construction bills on her apartment - for construction which he started after he moved in with her after asking her to marry him) well,  I can only assume this posting is yet another one of those messed up things Mitch Leff has done - and it would explain why the writer of this post chose to use the name Anonymous.  I have personally - and happily -
attended quite a few of Karen's inspiring seminars - and she is very open about being a self help author - never once claiming to be a doctor. Her seminars Ive attended were always full of fans who waited in line to thank her afterwards - sharing their personal stories for how Karen helped them in times of need. As far as the writer of this complaint saying she makes up praise - this is totally ridiculous - as she has about 25,000 fans on Facebook who rave about her daily. On any
day you can go to Facebook and see hundreds - even thousands - of different thank you's and compliments - by people around the world who Karen has helped with her inspiring books, posters and words of wisdom. I even encourage you to visit Karen's Facebook fan page right now so you can see the beautiful praise she receives every day from people who have
benefited from her! The writer of this post is in fact the charlatan - and again I have my guess who that charlatan might be!

Why would you go to her instead of a licensed psychologist? Karen Salmansohn is a life coach and self-help author. She researches heavily and relies strongly on current psychological research, as well as ancient and time tested philosophers, such as Plato and Aristotle. I know this because I've been acquainted with Karen for six years. I own several of her books, have attended several of her workshops, and have corresponded with her privately and on FaceBook. She portrays herself in a genuine mannner and does ~not~ pretend in any way, shape, form or fashion to be other than what she is: a self help author and life coach. If the complainant's problem is depression, then a psychologist or psychiatrist should have been chosen, not a life coach. It was on the complainant, and no one else, to make that choice. Life coaches do not exist to make referrals to psychologists. They exist to encourage and advise people in the manner that a sports coach exists. A sports coach won't repair a broken bone, either, but he or she will tell you how to improve your game. My personal opinion is that the complaint to which this response is written is unfounded.
