CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH.  I found a car in auto trader that I was interested in and contacted the listed dealer(karplus warehouse)by telephone. I talked to a salesperson who seemed very helpful.  After receiving all of the info i needed  I informed her that I was about 100 miles away and asked if I could make an offer contingent on seeing the vehicle so that i wasn't wasting my time and fuel to come down to there lot.  She said she would be glad to do that.  I made an out the door offer and she said hold on let me give this to my sales manager.  She came back on the line about 2 minutes later and said he liked the offer and to come on down. She told me to call before I got there so they could have the car ready.  About half way there I called and told them I was on my way.  About 5 minutes later I received a phone call from the salesperson saying that she had an emergency and that I should ask for a salesman named ***** when I got there and he would take care of everything.  I got there and found that nothing had been done to the car.    I ended up test driving the car  and was pleased so I told the salesman lets do this.  He took me to a meeting room confirmed everything that we went over and said had be right back.  While I was sitting there I noticed a dry erase board on the wall that had many salespersons named on it, however the salesperson to whom I spoke to earlier was not on there.(sounds like a bait and switch salesperson to me).  A few minutes later my new salesman came out and said that the car was bank owned, they submitted my offer, and that there was no room for negotiation on the price.  I told them I brought the amount of money we had agreed upon and that was it.  They said"oh, well we can work something out, such as a loan or maybe there would be something else on the lot I may be interested in".  (now this sounds like bait and switch on the car).I told them that they already accepted my offer.  He told me that they just said that it sounded good and that they couldn't have accepted the offer without first having bank approval.  I told them they would not be selling me a car then.  I suffered 6 hours of my time, wear and tear on my vehicle and my fuel and food cost while on the road due to their deceptive salesman.
