I have a hot tube in my sun room that is approximately 6 years old. It had a slight leak in the plumbing around the pump which was miner but it started to set off the ground fault breaker. I normally service a lot of things myself but I had back surgery about 6 months prior and I did not feel like crawling around in the access hole in case i strained the muscle. I dropped in to Kawartha home and property and made an apointment for a technition to assess the problem.

The next day my wife called me at work and said the repairman was there and that the hot tube was not repairable and we needed a new one and he just happened to have one like ours on the floor for $5000. I had her put him on the phone and he told me that when the breaker will not reset he is not allowed to work on them so therefor it was a new tub I needed. I have been in business a long time myself and I could not believe they would send out a repair man when they already knew the breaker would not reset before they came out and basically charge 85 dollars to come out and make a sales pitch.

I got in my car and drove straight home to actually meet this bonehead before he left. I got there just in time and crawled into the access hole and unplugged the circulation pump and viola- the breaker woud now reset,the circulation pump was the problem. I showed this to the genius repairman and he crawled in the access hole with a flashlight and said that I still needed a new tub because the leak came from the pipes buried in the side of the tub and they were not accessable.

I grabbed the flashlight back from him and crawled back in and you could see that the shaft seal on the circulation pump had leaked causing the short in the pump to trip the breaker. I sent this genius away and had the pump removed from the hot tub in about 5 minutes and dropped it off at a pump repair business and paid $130 to have in dissassembled, cleaned up and a new shaft seal installed and now it works like new again. I mentioned this experience to some of my friends who are also in business in this town and from what I am told this guy is being sued constantly by customers and with his reputation it is amazing that he is still in business.

Either you were drunk when you wrote this or the pressure from the arson investigation is starting to wear your nerves down Jamie. Pretty pathetic either way. Your name is in the author box and you are posting in the 3rd person. Good luck with all your problems.

ok first off did "jamie mills" attend your property??? I did not think so....it was a service man, he was asked to look at something totaly un related....you may want to get your story correct...lawsuits could be pending against you !!! Mr Mills has no lawsuits against him, he has to sue people like yourself who want work done and then dont pay. Yes you paid your bill, but many dont and he ends up in court over that a few times a year, just like so many small buisness do. As far as i know he has won every case. you best be careful as to what bs you are saying. Oh and let everyone know what happened to your buisness????

Just fresh lies on top of old lies

Lie number one  - The woman who took the appointment knew that the electrical breaker did not stay in yet she sent a person who would not even inspect it because of this issue.   

Lie number two   - My wife was only told that we needed a new hot tube. It was only when I arrived and showed him  what the problem was that he clued in. He then finally looked in with a flashlight and told me that the pipes along the side were leaking and they were not accessible and so we still needed a new hot tub anyway. It was definitly a water and electrical issue but I had to show him both problems.   

 

Lie number three   - Yes he has been sued many times. I have information from multiple sources and also a person with inside information. First class action lawsuit? Bring it on whatever that is.

I called him because a person I thought had good judgement recommended him after talking to him about a problem that he had. Also the hot tub is still working great after I repaired it myself. As far as working for free you imply that I got some sort of benefit for the 85 dollars. All I got was a sales pitch for my money.

Wow! I wonder if the customer here knows anything at all about what happened and how to run a business. First of all no one works for free...im sure if you are reading this you did not go to work for free today. Second of all lets also clear the air and let everyone know that his hot tub is not one of ours its another brand....makes you wonder why the person did not call that company!!!!


So if a person calles a service company there is a service call fee. We charge $85.00 per hour to service hot tubs that we dont sell. Our customers that buy a hot tub from me , there is no fees whatso ever.


When the service man arrived he inspected the tub and told the lady that the seal was gone but with the amount of water loss we could not know if there were other leaks in the tub untill the tub was up and running. There was an electrical isue as well, as the breaker would not stay on. We are not allowed by law and by code to repair electrical. If what this person is saying that by replacing his pump the tub suddenly stayed on dont you think there might be some kind of isue with  water and hydro. Im sorry but we will not get involved in any electrical problems and have someone get hurt.


I have never bein "sued" as this person likes to claim....i wonder if he would like a 1st class law action suite brought against him for slander and def. of char. ....hmmm


gotta love people.
