KB Homes KB Homes fails to honnor Warrantly claims Centennial Colorado

Hello -

I am not one to complain, however, I cannot allow the issue I am dealing with to go unknown! I recently purchased a home from KB homes.  Included in the purchase was complete proper grading of the entire lot and complete landscaping of the front yard.

All of this was to be completed according to local city code. As of today - according to KB homes they have had their hired surveyor come out to my home and measure the lot two times.  Each time the lot grade has been certified by this company hired by KB Homes. 

Here are the problems and a timeline - I have dealt with:

1. I filed a warranty claim for the front landscaping on or about January 7^th 2016

2. KB Homes came out and tore up about 1/3^rd of the sod, rock and other landscaping in the front yard.

3. KB homes informed me that the grade of the lot was correct according to city code, however, the water drainage was still not correct – and in fact – pooling only 4 feet from my foundation. 

4. Again after nearly 30 days KB homes came out again, this time another surveyor signed the lot off certified. 

5. Again, the water drainage was not happening correctly - and the Warranty Manager told me they did not care and would not do anything else at this point!

6. I then called the VP of Colorado Operations and also spoke in person with the Warranty Manager -  Each person telling me KB homes would DO NOTHING about the landscaping. 

Long story short, I have been dealing with this issue for months now, KB Home executives have cursed at me and other members of my family.  They have refused to honor the warranty claim, have torn up my front yard, exhibited poor customer service, poor workmanship and frankly – come across as a company who only cares about getting someone’s money!!! I would never recommend to anyone – buy a KB HOME!!!  NEVER! I am very sorry I did!!!
