1504 N Good Ave. Park Ridge Il 60068 was represented as being able to pass any home inspection with flying colors. The property had previously failed and inspection and we were told all safety issues were remediated but hired our own inspector when we made an offer. Our inspector found around 10k in additional issues with the home and to top it off the home tested above safe levels for Radon. We requested safety issues and radon be remediated and they canceled the contract. This home is in need of complete updates in all bathrooms and kitchen and should be sold as a handyman special. We wasted $670 on an inspection and radon test and another $500 on attorney review all because the property was misrepresented. The first buyers walked away and now we did too. Before you open a can of worms stay away from the shady Realtor Ted Pirpiris and Keller Williams. Ted is not only the Realtor but is also the general contractor on the property so it's hard to believe he didn't know of the issues with this home but that is difficult and too time consuming to prove. Instead we will hope anyone looking at the home will get a heads up by viewing this page. We will share inspection report and radon test with anyone considering to buy this home.

No individual real estate agent can guarantee property to pass an inspection

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - ()

POSTED: Friday, December 06, 2013

Keller Williams Realty is a large company with approximately 80,000 agents.  An individual real estate agent is an independent contractor and not an employee. So the agent is responsible for his own representations. Having said that, most agents carry E & O insurance. If you can show that the agent misrepresented to you, then report him to his broker and his board. Also you can report him to the real estate commission for the state in which you are located. You might even sue him for damages and costs if you have the proof of his statements. There is no reason for you to take a loss on information that is false.
