Answered an add from (((Redacted))). Add said husband proof; put beginners on her and they LOVE her-There is NO way a beginner could ride this horse! Add says she ties- if you tie her she lays down (saddled or not), or she pulls back so hard she breaks the halter or lead! She bucks, crow hops and REARS! This horse has serious problems, we called the seller and offered to bring her back for less than we paid- they refused! Do NOt buy a horse form Olequa Quarter Horses in Winlock Washington!!!!

The real story

AUTHOR: Kelly M - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, April 24, 2009

I am the person who sold this mare to her. I disclosed everything I knew about this mare right from the very beginning. I owned her for a year and never had this mare buck, rear or try to roll. I have photographs of my husband (who has had back, hip and knee surgery) riding her calmly on the trail. My 18 year old daughter who just decided to start riding again after 6 years started trotting/loping her around at game shows. We hauled this mare to game shows, took her camping, highlined her out all night long, with no problems whatsoever.

The only thing this mare ever did was crow hop when first put into a canter, and she did not stand still for saddling and mounting which the buyer knew and said she would have no problem fixing those problems. I also explained to her that the crow hopping thing might be due to poor saddle fit as that was explained to me by her previous owner. When the buyers arrived at my house, the horse was tied to my horse trailer, standing still.

So, she might try a proper fitting saddle or try to evaluate the problem instead of accusing someone of fraud. As far as taking her back, the buyer signed a 3 page bill of sale, (did not bother to read it first) that states that the sale was final and there were absolutley no guarantees. The problems that she said she had could have been false for all I know. Maybe she found a better deal and just wanted to get her money back, which is why you have people sign papers in the first place.
