We began business with Kemp, as well as his brother Guy, in June 2009. As they have claimed to be two separate companies, we will be listing our complaint separately. We manufactured frames for Icicles eyeglass lines, as well as providing assembly at our manufacturing facility. To date we are currently owed around $7371.10 from Kemp.
Kemp would respond to our requests for payment at his leisure, offering to pay but never sending actual payment. Each time, payment would be promised by a date (after a motorcycle rally, when he returned from vacation). In addition, each point of our contact was met with deflection; he would claim the product was faulty (quality tests at our facility prove that this is not the case); he would claim he owed less than we had on our books; or he would claim to not have the funds available. We offered him payment plans as well as the ability to pay by credit card.
After several attempts to contact Kemp (weekly calls, countless e-mails, certified letter) we still have no received payment for our labor or materials. Do not do business with this man. He will not pay you for your services.

Scott please provide signed PO's and sign delivery I'm a very honest businessman yes we had many problems with your product the hinges would break the lenses would not stay in it was a mess! I'm sure guy let you know as well ! I'm pretty sure I paid everything that was delivered but if you show something differently please provide proof thank you kemp.

screwing me big time but I will not let her beat me ! I'm very driven to
make icicles big ! If for no other reason to show her what she walk away
from ! I'm In co now to help my son she also walk away from him ! I know I
owe you . What can we do to get a order going this will be a big year for us
if we can work together . I can send you a thousand or two if that will
help but it's very tight for me unit bike week starts in daytona and if we
could get on with drag & retail we could go big ! Can I order 300 units to
get me going for Jan shows can you work with me & what would be the ETA

Hi,
I am currently doing business with Kemp Buono, and have been for that last calendar year. I have nothing but good things to say about this man. I'm currently helping him with business development in the Midwest, and was shocked to see this review when searching for the Icicles brand.
I confronted Kemp, and he told me the details regarding this report. The manufacturer in Huntington Beach consistently delivered a product that was below QUALITY, and below EXPECTATIONS. There was no grounds to receive payment, based on the fact that the dealer failed to deliver the product he had promised.
Furthermore -- Kemp has paid me in excess of the amount listed in the report always SAME DAY, and ON TIME. This report is completely bogus.
