On 01/30/2010 I purchased a 2002 Hyundai Accent from the dealer, cash.  I paid $3,000 in cash on the 30th, and paid off the remaining balance of $594.44 on 02/05/2010, also by cash.

I received no title at the time of payoff, I am not sure why.

I received a call that my Tag was ready (My temporary was expired now) and I could pick it up along with my title and spare key to my vehicle.

I drove 1.5+ hours to go pick up these items, however, upon arriving I was informed by Mr. Joe Donatelli that while my tag was ready, there was a mixup and the title was not ready, and that they had lost the spare key.

He informed me that he would find it and mail it to me within 2 weeks, upon mailing that he would give me a call to confirm it.

On May 6th I called to follow up, but Mr. Donatelli was unavailable, and so I had to call again.

I called May 7th, and Mr. Donatelli said he had sent the title, and he didn't know if he put enough postage on it or what, and became very nasty when I told him it had been 4 months now and I still have no title.  He told me he would call the post office and call me back, and hung up on me.  He never called back.
I called  back but he wouldn't never answer the phone.

I called again today, on May 12th to speak with the owner, Mr. Ken, who quickly expressed he didn't care what the salesman told me and showed very little sympathy towards my situation.

Ken wouldn't listen to my complaint, and became very belligerent and started cursing me out.

He finally calmed down enough to tell me that I would need to find out all information for myself, that he was busy with another customer and didn't have time.

As it stands, he is supposedly going to -sometime today- look through some more boxes again for the title (even though Mr. Donatelli has told me that again and again).

At this point I have found there to be no communication between the employees there, and that Mr. Ken doesn't listen to my complaint whatsoever or his employees.


UPDATE:

I visited the DMV two days later, and found out that the title was never sent out from the state for some reason, and I was told by the DMV manager that that Ken's Cars never even had my title.

I applied for the duplicate title, and within 5 days receievd the title in the mail....something Ken's Cars had promised for many months now. 

I called Ken's Car's back to get their story, and when I told Joe (my salesman) he had nothing to say and just hung up on me.

When I called the owner, Ken, he would never answer his phone so I left a message.  He has never called back since to apologise or act business-like in any manner.

I find it ridiculous that I paid for the vehicle, in CASH, all within one week, and I have been lied to since January. I have been lied to about the Title, about my spare key, and about the car's condition,
and been cursed out and yelled at by both Joe and Ken.

The fact that I paid everything in full and was still treated like dirt is apalling to me. I will be sharing my story with everybody that I know, and posting it in as many locations as I can to help
other people avoid the scam that is being run here.

I will make sure that everybody knows just what type of business is run by Ken's Cars. I will make sure that everybody is well aware, and is fore-warned before giving this company any business. 

I hope these inconsiderate, rude businessmen wannabes are treated just as they treat their customers.

This is Ken . For a long time I left it alone and did not respond to this stuff . I knew it would feed the fire. I should have continued.  I just thought that you were a better person than this.



You know that I never threatened you . All I am saying is Please do not lie to try to railroad me . If I sold bad cars or used drugs (which I did not) it would not warrant what you are trying to do to me. Like I said before , the punishment should fit the crime. If you do this you hurt innocent children who need thiere dad to support them.



If the car sucks , dont buy it. Then refuse to pay and hide it in your garage , then skip town with it. YOu liked it when you bought it. Also you liked me as a person , we would hang out and go to lunch etc. (remember?)



Bottom line is that you are lying to over exagerate a situation. Please just tell the truth and let justice be done.

I keep asking these questions and you keep dodging them.




Lets have a little truth on your part.



Did you orchestrate a group of people in vehicles that surrounded Cindy on Eau Gallie Blvd with the intent of removing Cindy from her car so that you could take the car into your possession?
Did the group of vehicles that were under your direct control force Cindy off the road and pin her to a stop?
Did you and others exit your vehicles with knives drawn?
Did you slash Cindy's tires with a knife for the purpose of disabling the vehicle so that Cindy would be incapable of leaving the state?
Did your friend and employee Russell Burgher use a knife to puncture one of Cindy's tires?
Did you flee from police only to return when the police had left the scene?
Upon your return did you use a knife to puncture a third tire on Cindy's car with the intent of further disabling her vehicle?
Did you attempt to force Cindy out of her car while holding a knife in your hand?
Where you surprised to see two able bodied male individuals come to Cindy's defense?
Did you threaten these two able bodied male individuals while holding a knife in your hand?
Did you flee the scene after dropping the knife and losing your glasses after being beaten so badly that you were begging the two able bodied male individuals not to kill you?
Do you realize that there is video surveillance that clearly shows you and another unnamed individual smoking what appears to be crack?
Did you take Cindy to meet an unnamed individual at the post office where you procured a quality narcotic pills and did you place five of these pills in Cindy's hand only to have Cindy return them to you because she is not interested in doing illegal drugs?
Did you mail a letter to Cindy many weeks before this incident where you state that Russel Burgher, your employee had informed you that he was not going to honor his agreement to pay for Cindy's car and that she would have to make the payments? (This letter is in evidence)
Did try to persuade Cindy to have sex with you?
Did offer to house Cindy in a home that you either owned or was in control of?
Did you stalk Cindy? (There is video showing you parked behind her house and across the street, it clearly shows you making a quick exit when you realize that she had caught you peeping on her.)
Was Cindy's $50 payment due on Friday and did you start trying to confiscate her car on Saturday, one day after missing her payment?
Did your crew of "repossesors" offer to pay Cindy's neighbor $200 to lure Cindy out of her home the day after she missed her payment?
Did individuals under your direct control attempt to break into Cindy's garage with the intent of taking her car and were these individuals forced to flee when the neighbors confronted them?
Did these individuals under your direct control make comments that they were going to kill Cindy's beloved pet, her dog Casper? And was her dog not poisoned that very night?
Did these individuals under your direct control sabotage the brakes on the uHaul trailer parked in Cindy's yard this very same night in an attempt to prevent her from leaving the state?
Did these individuals under your direct control egg and toilet paper her home on this very same night? The same night that her dog was poisoned, her brake lines cut and witnesses place your employees on her property saying that they were there to repossess her car?
Was Russell Burgher arrested at the scene and were you arrested later that night?
Did the police detain to juveniles that work at your car lot that night?
Did you pay the 14 year old female juvenile to wear a bikini and soak herself on the street in front of your car lot to attract men onto your lot so that you might make a sale in the weeks leading up to this incident? 
Are you aware that the 16 year boy who was detained that night is being molested (for two years) by the his "uncle" (no relation) who was also detained by police in connection with this incident?
Why do you keep bringing up your children? Were you worried about Cindy's daughter who needed her mother out of state when you attacked her?
Do you think about your children when you place a crack pipe to your lips and inhale?
 

So Ken.... Nobody is "railroading" you, you are doing all of this to yourself.

Please take the time to answer the questions above?

If they are all lies then you should have no problem disputing each and every one of them, right?

Cindy was never your "friend"

Is this how YOU treat friends?

You only preyed upon Cindy just like you prey upon everyone, you are a sickly predator.

You lie so much that I think you actually believe the skewed view of reality that you have, that is a common symptom of crack addiction.

And don't worry, Cindy will in your words "Please just tell the truth and let justice be done."

The Truth Hurts

To begin, learn how to spell and use punctuation.  As a grown man you should know English grammar and spelling.

If you'd read the post, you'd see I only called a handful of times within a 6 month period. It is nowhere near unreasonable to call once per week after 6 months of waiting for a title, especially after the car was already 100% paid off.

And actually, the first time I called you wouldn't listen to me at all.  You then became very angry and started yelling and cursing at me.  You then told me to never call your number again because you don't care.  And finally, you said you would look through some boxes and call back, after which you never called and never answered your phone again.  I would reason that YOU were being the immature one here.

If you actually DID mail the title (which according to the manager at my local DMV the title was never even issued) you should have, as a responsible person and business person, spent the extra $2 and sent it certified.  Any reasonable person that has to send anything important via mail would have enough logic to send it certified.

When I sold my previous vehicle I sent the title certified and guess what, within 3 days they received the title and I had a copy in my hand to prove it...and I'm just you're average guy, a business person shouldn't have to be told this.

I can only HOPE you don't work at Kens Cars anymore, and that either the business is gone or under PROPER management.

If you've truly had "millions of complaints" then you are EXACTLY like the others.  With that many complaints, it should come as no surprise you're either out of a job and/or out of business. 

With that many complaints, I can only say Good Riddance to the filth you call a dealership and customer service.

Either way you put it, you were WRONG.  

If you want to survive in this economy, I'd suggest you learn to tell the truth, learn to deal with customers with RESPECT, and at least try to be a decent person not looking to scam every customer that comes through the door.  A little honesty and decency will go a long way....

Oh, and I suggest that on top of learning proper spelling and grammar, that if you file a rebuttal,  you make it clear an concise.  You're rebuttal is little more than a half-brained strewn-out joke of a rant.

It's pretty sad that a 22 year old has to explain to you what you should have learned in grade school, or at least in the 30+ years of your life.

You sales-men are a d**n joke. You hang up the phone because you are tired of getting calls from a customer? What do you think you are getting paid to do? Yeah, you know that paycheck you get to feed yourself, thats for something called work, and if you don't have the personality for it, "hanging up the phone when you can't think of a solution", you best stay out of the field before you get fried. 


And this Ken clown, seems like an even bigger d****e-bag. Some companies wonder why they sink and blame it on economical circumstances. Heres a tip for you "businessmen", provide a quality and honest service, and you will receive a quality and honest return.

And you want an even bigger secret to success? The customer is never wrong.

first off you are right i did hang up and acted as though i didnt care why because you called a million times and by calling a million times you left to available minute to call around to get information for you also i no longer work at kens cars & credit llc i have quit due to the millions of reports against the car lot and myself when in reality i wasnt not liek the rest of them

as for your title i did send and i know i did maybe it was your lack of info of address. that created the reason you didnt recive your title
