An employee came to my house to do a routine extermination of rodents. When he went into my attic he fell through my ceiling. I'm assuming lack of training from management/owners let this happen. Any individual with common sense, let alone a company providing a service such as this should know the proper technique to move in an attic. Moving on, he fell through my ceiling sending debri, dirt, insulation and dust throughout my living room. My carpets were ruined and well as my cloth couch. Not to mention the huge hole in my ceiling! The dust spread throughout the entire area and surrounding rooms, it was an absolute nightmare. To make matters worse we had a 5 month old at this time. The employee stood there for a minute and said, "well I'm going to go check outside" and exited the house. We were left with an unbelievable mess, I was in complete shock. After contacting the owner, he said he would pay for any clean up and repairs of the ceiling ... that was a joke. We cleaned up all the debri that fell through, which was so tedious. There was so much dirt and dust everywhere. We had the ceiling fixed and the couch and carpets steamed. The carpets still look horrendous and would be better off being ripped out and replaced but we didn't ask for anything that extreme. We asked to be refunded for the cleaning, materials, time , and the steam cleaning. Believe me when I tell you we are not asking for much. This Kevin Connelly should be happy with the invoice we sent. We paid for EVERYTHING out of our OWN pocket for the damage an employee of his company caused. We have contacted him repeatedly and have received nothing. I am so disgusted with this company. My husband and I are 28 years old with a new child, all we want is to be refunded the money we shouldn't have had to spend in the first place.

Once Again

AUTHOR: Kevin J. Connelly - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 21, 2016

Once again, we are ready to reimburse these individuals for their expenses, please forward proof of payment, a canceled check, a paid receipt, an invoice, a cash register receipt, a credit card slip or statement. If the purpose of this is to get us to pay it would take much less efforts to mail us the copies we ask than to continue to follow this path, and the effort would be much more beneficial.

As you can see the damage is fixed. I don't know who would have paid for all the repairs, materials and time....oh wait, my husband and I did. You clearly stated in your response, you did in fact agree to pay for damages when contacted the day of the incident. This happened over 7 months ago! As a professional company you need to be proactive when mistakes are made.

To be honest, I just want people to know about your bad practices when dealing with a customer. No one deserves to have their home damaged by a company and then have to clean and repair while the owner of the company does absolutely nothing. Expect a call or visit from my lawyer. My husband works for the production industries of Chicago so at this point it's become just a matter of working people being screwed by another usual shady business. I'm thinking a news segment would be adequate.

Not Quite The Whole Story

AUTHOR: Kevin J. Connelly - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, September 05, 2016

The start opf the story is pretty correct, one of our employees did accidentially come down through the ceiling of this apartment. We did agree to reimburse the parties involved with the correction of the damage, all we asked for was the reciepts for the expenses.

What recieved instead was estimates for the work but no indications the bills were actually incurred and paid for. One of the estimates listed the address of the service not at the unit but at the address of the "provider" of the services.

These were forwarded by the landlord to us. We asked the landlord to obtain copies of documents showing what was paid by these inviduals, copies of a canceled check, a bill marked paid by the provider, a credit card statement showing the charges, none of this was ever forwarded to us.

We still stand ready to reimburse the individuals once we have some documents showing we are reimbursing actual expenses. I believe this is fair, don't you?
